This is true, but it is important to acknowledge that lower atmospheric levels are still well below World Health Organisations limits.

Do you not remember the request that went out to the shareholders to give up their shares to Sisu for virtually nothing. I think you got a bit of paper back saying that you'd once held shares in the club as a token gesture.

@Torch: most of us don't believe that what's good for Sisu is good for CCFC I think that's where we differ. I've always said that of they came out with clear info on how this will help the club a lot more would support them.

The fact that this info isn't forthcoming doesn't bode well.

prem is more successful than championship i would have thought.

we have to hope for better days, not just accept medicority. staying afloat is not enough, need a business model change.

No even the small shareholders were really chased to hand these over...there's no doubt SISU were very assiduous in getting every single certificate to the extent possible (friends of mine had repeated calls / letters to get these returned). Not a criticuism of SISU as such but they defintely went out there to get total control and confirmation of this for not very much.

Rent strike was already on as talks got under way rather than after talks failed IIRC.

No he was talking about contract law which is relevant to both cases.

You were talking about state aid which is relevant to the JR

CCC will argue because SISU broke a contract they were duty bound to protect a public asset. They did this by a process of funding which was legal.

SISU have to argue the funding was not legal. The outcome of the funding is not in question I.e it created unfair competition, if the funding itself followed the rules in place.

If they needed the Higgs Share so much, why didn't they buy it then?

Instead of negotiating honestly, it seems that they decided that they could get it for less via an act of utterly reckless brinkmanship that's ended up with the club in Northampton. Such is the quality of our owners.
