Some people on here want the club to be fucked. That's how they think they'll get rid of the owners. Dunno if they'll want the same should they not like the next owners.

Playing in the third tier.
Forty odd million in debt.
Have more lawyers available for the bench than we do experienced players for the subs bench.
Playing home games 34miles away from where we should be.
Home crowds decimated as fan's have had enough.
FFP rules mean little chance of building a strong squad next season.

Tell me, how much worse does it have to get before some fans consider us fucked.

Closed/Liquidated/No more club. Now that would be worse.

If Shitzu liquidate, the GS reverts to the FL and is available on application. Since there are very few assets Shitzu are extremely unlikely to do this. But if they did I for one would be happy to see someone else apply for the share, agree a deal at the Ricoh and start again.

Yes it would be great -- we could be the new Portsmouth

Unfortunately I think there will be no start again at the Ricoh now the whole world knows what duplicitous coniving scum lurk in the Coventry Council offices.

Upon what basis have you come to that conclusion?

I'd say Robinson was the main culprit along with richardson & mcginnity!
Council are just as guilty!
Who pocketed all them 6 million plus player sales? 12 million for Keane?
Ccfc always been in debt!
Still got an article when Pete Robbins was chairman, we were only 2million in debt back then, were in the new prem & owned Highfield!
Times have changed!

Keep taking the medication Tony, read the e-mails and decide if you were looking for a football club would you even consider coventry city council as suitable lanlords. No chance.

I think the SISU strategy is to continue in Northants for a few more seasons, get the club cash neutral, (player sales to fund the losses from reduced northants attendances) may lead to another relegation, the Ricoh may become an even bigger white elephant hoping that there is pressure on the council to deal with the club regarding freehold.

For the love of God does anyone seriously believe that CCC want anything but success for CCFC! We saw the effect which it had on the city when we won the cup and to think that they would not want that again is absolutely insane.

Nobody pretends liquidation and starting again would be easy or without many problems but arguably still preferable to another full season like the one just gone.

The Council will NEVER deal with Shitzu.......would you?

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. duplicitous coniving scum or sharp operators dealing with a ruthless hedge fund
A rent strike to distress a charity followed by an offer thar would lead to a charity losing millions a charity that helped a club in its hour of need. The council move was a smart move at the time but had lead to the move to Northants and the potential demise of the club.

Not sure what CCC were expected to do,

So what about all the other successful business links CCC have with other clients. Major contracts signed in the last few days and they will be in future.

According to you the other day the court case was irrelevant, now it is as big as Watergate.

I live in Germany and nobody here knows about the duplicitous conniving scum that lurk in Coventry. Thanks to Jan, some know about the duplicitous conniving scum known as SISU. Read an article in a football paper here in March. Well laid out account of our predicament. Steve West approached the YB without telling SISU. SISU approached the YB without telling Higgs = 1:1. You and ML claimed that it was magnimonius from SISU to pay their own costs after bringing a "hopeless case" against Higgs, although the judge said he would have come to that conclusion anyway. Desperate times for SISU and their fans. PUSB

Shy, why should CCFC have to run what council are expected to & funded by us the tax payers?
Generation of north coventry.

If the council didn't bail us out back then, we would be where we are now but much sooner.
Highfield was already sold off back then but we were in the prem!
I wish that petition gets full support & the truth comes out in court!!!

Sorry but I hope we get back to the Ricoh, preferably with new owners but will go from there. I want SISU out like everyone else but not to the detriment of the club I support, I dont want some phoenix team, I want CCFC.

Anyone that thinks starting again in the 4th or 5th league below the conference would be a good idea, is seriously underestimating how hard it may be for us ever to get back, and I seriously doubt it would be at the Ricoh.

But if the GS was awarded to a.n.other we would not be starting in the 4th ot 5th tier would we?

Thought Jan was Polish not German?

Doesn't matter... German paper was called 11 Freunde or something like that. Reputable, serious paper ( as opposed to "Kicker"). My German colleague asked if I was CCFC fan and showed it me. Journalist interview with pictures of the "Hill".

The start of all our problems was still Richardson in my opinion loading us up with debts that we couldn't afford and no-one could subsequently tame. We bought players during his reign that the manager hadn't asked for and had never heard of. His idea of a stadium showed ambition (that our current owners are matching with their lack of) that was way over the top and a lack of touch with the reality of our situation.

I hope he's happy with himself and his time at the because I don't imagine there are many Sky Blues fans who are.

I appreciate the dislike which has been stowed upon Richardson (met him once and didn't like him!) but at the same time he did try to bring success to the club in a big way. Maybe he gambled and failed. Would you not like to see our current owners make such a bold move......perhaps with some sort of safety net?

Yes, perhaps instead of spending c£40m on funding losses of a mediocre squad over the last 7 years, they should have spent another £60-70m and took a proper punt, albeit probably failing. At least we could look back on the last 7 years and say "hey oh, we may be £100m+ in debt but at least we took a punt...."

But Sisu new the position when they took over. Were they not given the shares for nothing.
They also did due diligence which would show the potential for achieving any profit with the club and this would include any costs like stadium rent etc.

However was the profit in the club or in obtaining the Ricoh?

No qt the time ignorance is bliss, but we now have hindsight and you're suggesting that sisu should have done the same...

I agree that we did see some good football under his reign and the signing of Robbie Keane was brilliant even if we only had him for a season. The fact remains though that we were gambling with very high stakes, had been lucky in our relegation battles and eventually our luck was bound to run out. You have to wonder what prompted the board to eventually fire him other than relegation.
