After being a season ticket holder for longer than I care to think about everything now seems dead, I have never been to Sixfields and never will.
I have tried going to local non league matches but they are not my Sky Blues.
At this time of the year, we should be moaning about the cost of season tickets and discussing who to let go and who to bring in for the new season, but now it all seems pointless.
Even CWR Sky Blue Friday night programme is dieing on its feet, last Friday no one phoned in and even though Eakin tries his best it is hardly worth listening to.
So I hold out hope that June JR may be a turning point, but looking at past performance in the courts I am not that hopeful.

i was listening to CWR on Saturday and someone phoned in after the match (think he was Andy from Leamington) he was at the game and left at half time because he basicaly said the club was dead and he's had enough, he also said he is a season ticket holder at sixfields. he was genuenly upset and i think the 1st half performance was the the straw that broke the camels back. he didn't name and blame any party involved in the whole affair just simply said that the club was dead and he'd had enough.

i think next seasons away crowds will be an indicator of the state of the fan base, especially if we play MK again next season in the league. i dont think we'll fill the lower tier next season myself let alone need the top tier. i think the mood is changing big time and the clubs death is speeding up, the current status quo is only going to assist that. its time to bring the club home if only on a 3year deal.

I know of only a couple of people who go to Sixfields and they are not regulars , they only go to the odd game, everyone else I know will not follow the club to Northampton.
I think that the fan base that the club could rely on has been decimated this season and will only go further down the longer the club stay away.
I have found other things to do on a Saturday now. I haven't been to a game at all this season and am losing the desire to.
I am not alone in this , quite a few people I know now "Can't be arsed" with the whole sorry mess CCFC has become.

Fair play to you to keep going but how long is it going to last until you miss a few games and then a few more etc. etc. ?

I will continue to go to away games. I will not go to Sixfields unless its part of a mass demonstration.
When the new stadium outside of Coventry is built in 4-5 years time. I will continue to go to away games only.

A spell in league one should be seen as a sojourn to sort out the finances before getting back to the championship.

The club is Coventry not Crewe, Rotherham or Bretford, but that is the level we're at right now and we'll remain so whilst in Northampton. Could be a long wait if SISU get to break even, that is why they have to lose money every year & why NOPM makes sense to me.

It doesn't take a billionaire owner, it takes one who is committed to growing the club.

When was the last time we had an owner who tried innovative schemes to increase support? The 60s?

Sisu have finally sorted on the pitch strategy out (to some extent), only to fuck it up monumentally off it.

With our catchment area and history, we are not a L1 side, no matter how much you enjoy doing the club and city down. It's not unrealistic to tell Sisu that they are mismanaging the club to the point where it's not punching it's weight.

Not many Cov fans think we have a divine right to be in the premiership but we are not a league 1 club. I have been to my least number of games since 1982/83 season. I am only considering poing away next season to keep my sons interested, its not that I have lost interest but I find it thoroughly depressing and would rather the club hit the bottom now so that we could then have the hope that things can get better. Next season I predict relegation based on the clubs inability to attract sufficient quality players to join the current shambles of a club. Look at our form since Xmas and the quality and level of commitment of the players brought in.

If they needed us all that bad they shouldn't have moved to Northampton. If they want something from the fans they need to give the fans some respect. SISU need to come back and do some serious grovelling instead of blaming everyone else for what they have done.

In my view it would very much depend on their perception of why they had moved.

If I believed that we had been forced out of the Ricoh and had no choice but to move, then not only would I be attending Sixfields, I'd probably be buying a couple of extra season tickets as a gesture of solidarity.

No evidence to support that assertion. We were relegated 13 years ago. We've not once looked like even being close to returning. The gates dropped off immediately following relegation. We seem to revert to our 'top division type' in every league.

No team has a devine right to be in the prem league, we have been out in the cold for over a decade and have never been close to returning. I am sure alot of teams feel that they should be back there in the big time, Leeds, Middleborough, Derby, Sheffield Wed & Utd to name a few and most of them had more continued success that we did up there.

Our aspirations have been limited with 'Operation Premiership' being a monumental flop but i dont think any fan is happy about being in league one but some are more realistic about our current position than others.

Stupot - as you imply, you've repeated that piece of information a number of times.

I think that I'm right in saying that your implication is that disconnect between "attendance league position" and "revenue league position" is down to what has become known around these parts as "pie money".

You may well be right, but it occurs to me that other factors such as ticket prices may have played a (large?) part.

Have you been able to identify such other factors and rule them out? (not a dig - I'm not sure if this would be available).

I ask because whilst I would agree that the more revenue streams the club has access to the better, I'm not sure how much of a game changer it would be in reality.
