@ summerisle.....Who won the Court case? The Judge described it as a “nil-all draw”, which is why he said he would have made a court order that we each bear our own costs had we not already agreed to do so. So perhaps Mark Labovitch of Otium and Sky Blue Sports and Leisure didn’t know this when he told the Coventry Telegraph: “I think it’s extremely magnanimous of Joy (Seppala, Sisu’s boss) not to pursue costs from the charity”. Of course the Charity lost in a well faught NIL-NIL DRAW!........Anything else you would like to cherry pick in your favour?

The court case that was brought by Higgs was lost, the counter-claim made by Sisu was lost.

Cherry picking? If a nil-nil draw surely equal weight should have been given to the decisions, not a one liner at the end of a load of guff?

To be fair, Sisu said that they wouldn't apply for costs from Higgs, when the Higgs lawyer was worried about it, before the judge made his decision on it.

It will always be open to CCFC return unless the unlikely event of another team comes in. Even then 2 teams are possible.
ACL will take on more and more small events that may take up some of the larger corporate areas used on match days.
The hotel may take more bookings which use bedrooms converted for corporate bookings.

While ACL do appear to have moved on somewhat and concentrate on their own business unless we get to a point where the stadium bowl is converted for an alternative use it will always be available for us to return.

The only tricky part will be that they are taking bookings which block out matchday weekends and these bookings are often made a long time in advance, the knock on would be should the club return they would not immediately be able to fulfil the FL requirement to have first call on all possible matchdays but you would hope if it came to that the FL would be cooperative and prepared to make an exception.

You suppose wrong. They would need 1.42 lawyer's.
If we work on the basis that the lawyer count was 2:7. ACL had 1 lawyer per £14.5k and SISU 1 per £41.4k.

So if we went on the SISU ratio ACL would need 0.7 of a lawyer.

If we worked on ACL ratio, SISU would have needed 20 lawyers.

Nice bit of Maths to start the day!

Whats your point ? I fail to see what you want from this conversation.

Do you want to see ACL fail ? Do you want SISU to be given the stadium ?

Not getting on at you but whats your ideal scenario?

I would quite like to see how they have / will achieve more income this year than they have in previous years without a football club and or concerts / olympics etc.

I dont want to see ACL fail at all.

My ideal senario is CCFC back home at the Ricoh, and SISU gone.

If ACL can make more than £14 million this year from the Ricoh without an anchor tennent it shows what an asset CCFC could have, if it was in the right hands.

Maybe they get lonely? How the fuck should i know?

So when you attempted to answer my original question you didn't actually know an answer so thought you'd take the opportunity to stick the boot into a local charity instead.

What a big man you are. Your family must be proud

This is as sycophantic as Joy's interview.

However stars alone should never be viewed without the context of the situation

Hey, you're the one taking kicks at a local charity while they're down on their luck despite them only ever trying to do the best they can for the football club you apparently support. And you call me a mad man.

The interview is quite positive about the charity. It doesn't state they're down in their luck aside from some legal costs.

7 Lawyers including a QC from a London based firm to distress a local charity.

Each week this club moves further away from the fans
and as the lady says its a franchise with a badge in a town a long way from the place it should be.
I gather a few here support the Sixfields Sky Blue Socks, you are wellcome to it. Not my club anymore.

The thing that always strikes me with statements, interviews etc from everyone other than SISU is that what they say is fairly consistent and seem somewhat balanced (at least as balanced as a statement from one side ever will be) and plausible. A lot of what we hear from SISU appears made up on the spot, inconsistent and seeking to blame others. That's before you consider all the statements from the SISU side, about stadium site etc, that have not come to fruition.

Topic drift slightly, whats happened to this new stadium. Not that anyone sane thought it would ever happen.

Officially I think the last thing was they were in talks with 2 sites and had a HOT agreed with 1 but couldn't tell anyone where either was or give a timescale on when anything would be announced.

I get the impression it may have been replaced by the discrete little gatherings with people in pocket groups. Where he possibly hoped these people would then send out his message.

The fact it took four days before it began to even trickle out on here suggests to me that didn't work out as planned.

ACLs turnover may have risen (due to the one-off Olympic bonanza) but its all about profit......turnover smurnover....

Any tit can run a business with a large turnover.....

I could buy £5m worth of stock & sell it for £4.5m...

...Ooooh look at me....I've got a company with a £4.5m turnover......whoop de doo.....I've also got a £500K hole in the pocket....

The Ricoh needs CCFC....CCFC needs the Ricoh.....its that simple.

No amount of spin, bullshit or streaking spider shows will change that.....

All the suited bull-shitting wankers at Sisu, ACL & CCC should just sort it out before we all find better things to do....

Happy Friday!

Have you arranged a meeting yet or still prefer to address your issues behind a computer screen?

They may be down on their luck to be fair, but wouldn't know as they're overdue on last two sets of accounts to the charities commision apparently.

No happy to do it in a proper forum in front of large group like I did before. Speaking on a microphone, did you do that?

In all honesty if there was an open thing on here in the first place saying there are a few places who would like to go. I would have registered an interest.

Or afterwards if people had come straight on here to discuss the meetings. Which I think most would have expected. Then there was an offer of further meetings again I may have considered it.

However the way it came out 3/4 days after the meetings. People posting do you want a meeting or not with no explanation of how this was all happening. Was all a bit weird it put me off.

Now that people have explained a bit about the meetings, you seem to have the impression he has a party line that he was just regurgitating and wanted you to go out there and spread the word. So it maybe better to wait for the real deal.

Out of interest did you ask him

What was the plan post JR, if they win or lose?

Did you tell him you did not believe a stadium was to be built and why you thought this?

Did he tell you when the real forum is to be?

It's all very sad. An 'insider' gives us a few clues. A return to the Ricoh looks unlikely for our team.
What next then?
We just going to drift along for next few years in Northampton? She's strongly hinting that CCFC have become a 'Franchise.'

So why did sisu need seven lawyer's?

As I was going to Sixfields* I met a woman with seven lawyers. Each lawyer had seven sacks; each sack had seven files; each file had seven counter-claims. Lawyers, sacks, files, counter-claims: how many were going to Sixfields?!?! LOL!!!

(*I've not been to Sixfields.)

When talking about the Council and AHT, MKH says:

"We, however, have a common goal, a common objective: to make Coventry a better place in which to live and work."

That to me is the most telling comment of all. You support CCFC because its your home-town club (mostly) and you have a strong affinity to the City of Coventry and the area. I learnt a lot from the interview about AHT's support of the club over the years. Its very clear to me who cares about the football club, the City and the community and who doesn't.

SISU using CCFC as a pawn in their game has been disastrous for CCFC, the fans and the area. This is not going to end well for us who will be left behind after SISU leave.

So charging the highest rent in the championship and the worst rental deal in the league is showing their caring side.

Christ ill hope they never start to dislike the club.
