Why should CCC help? (33 Viewers)

Who cares who wins as long as City return to the Ricoh. I really couldn't give a flying F if it destroyed SISU, ACL or both in the aftermath. I have absolutely zero interest in any of the players involved in this mess.

I agree with this other than would like to see Higgs get a large proportion of their money back whoever pays it.

Just about to do a school run. Will add my thoughts in a new thread soon.

Most people don't give a shit about a hedge fund do they? I haven't seen anybody say I hope sisu make loads of money?

And where has anyone said they want CCC to make loads of money from the club? Who are the clubs owners? can you identify any of them? Unfortunately whilst Sisu own the club, Sisu are CCFC, if and when they go the new owners will be CCFC.

I have to admit I struggle with the whole Kylie/Dannii thing. Not on this though. I don't think there is anyone who prefers SISU to the club. Or ACL for that matter. The only people who say are those on here who use it as ammunition.

Is that saying he prefers sisu to the club?

He's stated he hopes ACL go bust.

But I don't recall him saying he preferred SISU over CCFC and, in fairness, no City fan would say that, surprised it was even suggested.

This is my point, but people do about the council. Unless they have some sort of agenda I don't think a proper fan would ;)

Dani's face, Kylie's bum. Adele's voice and Helen Mirren's acting skills.

They don't it is exactly the opposite of what you are saying. It is the same principles but you only see it one way.
Some people do not believe SISU have the best interests of the club at heart. Some people back the council in their dispute with SISU as they can differentiate their support for the club ran by SISU.

They are not choosing the council over CCFC.

It is strange that you can make that argument one way but not the other way round.

So if CCFC returned next season after "getting what thet want" do you think no one will go?

The unfortunate side is I and probably all of us apart from Joy don't really know what they intend to do.

In my opinion when they choose to go to Northampton that decision was for the good of SISU (not CCFC). I believe if they had agreed a long term dirt cheap rent plus 80% F&B. Then invested the money (legal costs and loses at Northampton) into the squad. I believe we would be in the top two. I believe success like that would have brought decent crowds to Coventry.

Then SISU could sell the club or attempt to achieve the play off places in the championship then sell.

I think they choose Northampton, the JR, refusal to agree a rent deal and refusing to temporarily return. In an attempt to own ACL outright for next to nothing or the freehold for the Ricoh. The freehold I don't see how that benefits CCFC?

I do not think they are overly concerned about the catastrophic long term damage this is doing to the club in the meantime. I also do not feel they can be successful in their spoken aims.
So whilst we go down this path what happens to CCFC?

Yes absolutely. Give the charity their money back. As for SISU or ACL? Nah, couldn't care if they all lost their jobs tomorrow and went under.

There would certainly be more people there than if they play another season at Sixfields. I'm sure some would stay away until SISU go at which point they'll either return or find some other excuse not to go.

I have no problem with SISU having the leasehold for the Ricoh, even if they are given it for nothing, as long as there is some security against them doing something that is for their own advantage rather than the clubs. The main security would be CCC retaining the freehold and have clauses that return the lease to CCC should SISU attempt certain things for example the club going into admin or liquidation, any attempt to take out finance, any attempt to charge the club rent, that kind of thing.

I can't see any business case, and SISU certainly haven't presented one, for them needing the freehold encumbered or otherwise. As ever if SISU can actually come out and give valid reasons for needing it then it would have to be considered.

They probably haven't, but that doesn't mean that it would necessarily be bad for the club if they do get what they want. It looks to me that Sisu need to make the club sellable. What's the best way to do that? I would have thought more buyers would be interested in a club which owns its own ground/holds a very long lease, isn't haemorrhaging money and has other potential revenues. I don't see how it is in Sisu's interests to make the club unsellable. Hell, it might even mean we get some decent owners in for once, not the usual chancers and conmen we seem to attract.

That logic of that argument doesn't hold up under inspection, giving SISU what they want makes the club cost more, it also forces bidders to negotiate with them, which as we all know is unlikely to go smoothly.

I think there will be more interest if CCFC is sold as a distressed asset & the more debt SISU are forced to write off the better as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry, where does the logic not hold up? A counter-supposition does not in any way negate logic. Stop being a ponce.

I think the closest SISU would get to that is a sliding scale 99 year rent deal with 80% F and B. then get the club in promotion places for championship or in at off places within the championship then sell.

They will not get the freehold or force ACL to be given to them dirt cheap.

So in the meantime whilst they try CCFC suffers.

I think you'll be waiting a while to find an owner who will take on the club with our debt who isn't a chancer or conman to be honest.

I still think Byng (take your pick as to which he is) will be the preferred buyer. I have a suspicion that Sisu are doing his dirty work so he can ride in as white knight.

I'm not sure on the sums to be honest. When you consider that Sisu have destroyed all trust, isn't there an argument that a new owner, almost any new owner, would get a better deal and therefore we'd be better off someone buying us in Northampton?

Then again you've got the hassle of the current situation to account for.

I think if Sisu put us up for sale you'd get as many bidders. If I wanted CCFC quite frankly I'd be waiting until we want bust then picking up the pieces.

It'll all depend on what Sisu want to get out I suppose.

What role would that be? Where has anybody said anything like that or are you talking shit?

I've said it here. You quoted it.

Your role deciding which fans are worthy. Like you decided who would be appropriate to meet Labovitch, now you've decided anyone who disagrees with your assessment of the council isn't a proper fan.

Must be a nice gig.

Yeah it's great, I'm just hoping it gets me expensive meals in London with rich Americans like the trust ;)

Have people in and around the trust revealed all of those meetings they have ever had?

Have you also heard about the other 23 or more meetings happened, are they also king of the fans or do we need to go bare knuckle to sort it?

How does it work? What's your problem? You are the first to whinge and go on about legal action when people say things about you but don't mind giving the billy big bollocks act to others?

Can any of you boring twats tell us what SISU have done any good for the team on the pitch the last 4 years ?

The only things that bring to mind are;

Creating a successful Academy Strategy which brings in youth players that can be sold at profit

Some recent attempt to balance the needs of a squad that must be competitive alongside some cost management methodology.

Do you feel left out Shmmee? Seems you have a real issue with this and I fail to see why.
Labovich obviously felt contacting the person who runs the largest skyblues forum was a decent way of meeting some fans. Nick invited a few posters with differing opinions on our situation. The people he chose in my view were decent choices.
Whats the problem?
