Every time there are stories about the 1987 FA Cup win (as there are on the telegraph website today) I'm reminded of the Channel 4 programme shown a few weeks after the game called 'City's Cup of Joy'
Sorry if this has been mentioned before on here, but does anyone else remember seeing it? It was a brilliant replay of the cup final with commentary and views from John Sillett and David Pleat. I had recorded it on VHS but was gutted a few years later when I discovered it had been recorded over. I've looked for it online in recent years but it seems it was never released - as far as I can tell.
What was brilliant about it was the insight from the managers about the game. I remember one bit about John Sillett saying he had been urging Houchen to be more aggressive in the box and attack the ball whenever it is crossed and then, of course, he did just that in the final.
If anyone still has a copy of this programme, let me know!
