There's a pattern appearing here.

There's a low turn out at a council demonstration and all of a sudden it's have a go at Michael day.

Sisu have a bad day in court and again it's have a go at Michael day.

If I was you Michael I wouldn't take the risk. Go away for a fortnight the day the JR is due to end, turn your phone off and don't tell anyone where you are. If sisu lose I fear that there might be a hit out on you ;-)

So are you telling me Michaels "strategy" has worked and we are back in Coventry?

Wow Tony why isn't this the talk of the forum?

The campaign has worked..or hasn't it?

Michael you've repeatedly tried to discredit the work of others whilst lauding up your own campaign.

Try appreciating other peoples viewpoints instead of giving them grief because they don't buy into yours.

LOL, it is Rob Stevens who is making accusations about "snide little attacks, lies and misrepresentations" in my opinion that accusation is in itself a snide little attack.

And your point???

Although not personally been on the end of it, Michael has given plenty of grief to people that do buy into the KCIC manifesto. Just ask him.

I'm pleased you are attacking him. He must be doing something right. Is he ruffling a few feathers in council HQ? Good. I am sure you and Duffer can bang your heads together tomorrow and work out a campaign.

So it's ok for somebody to make a big deal about threatening fans with legal action or their solicitor while the same person moaning about it and making up crap jokes does it themselves?

If you can't beat them, join them I guess....

WTF are you on about ,speak up ,not in riddles ,otherwise your coming over like a bullying c**t.

I take it as read sisu will win the JR but you've forgotten about Lucas v Patton next week! To be fair (and apols in advance if I've misread the thread) but overall the posts which don't seem to like the 3 points in the OP seem mainly to not directly engage with those points or are just insults (and for the umpteenth time it was the Trust who decided to split off kcic, I disagreed with that decision, last Nov (?) 98% of kcic supporters voted to ask the Trust to take back kcic but the Trust said no, and I still live in hope that the Trust will at some point take kcic back). The important point is that the maj of those who responded on here, just as on fb, twitter and listening to people at various kcic events in recent weeks, are broadly in agreement with the 3 points.

Good to hear from you Rob but taken aback a bit by the accusation of "lies". It's a serious allegation to make on a public forum so care to back it up with some evidence?

So out of all that you ignore all of it, including the three questions, only to come back with one of your own? With a tasty dash of implied legal threat? Maybe all of this time spend hating on Sisu has given you Stockholm Syndrome by proxy :D

I notice that you didn't take issue with the other accusations of misrepresentation & snide attacks so I can assume you accept those?. Lie? For starters your Sunday Sermon email of 27/04/14 you use the line 'People claiming to be in talks with all parties when they’re not..' referring to an exchange here on SBT where I'd use the phrase 'spoken to all sides' which was misinterpreted as 'had meetings with' by a few posters including Peter-KH who said we'd never met. I provided an explanation to make clear any misunderstanding but you chose to spread the original misinterpretation as fact so yes, lie. We could compile a full list but I don't think that's particularly helpful right now.

GCBttR has publicly supported KCIC & KCIC's actions many times and all we've had back in CT letters, your Facebook pages, Twitter & your Sunday Sermon emails is attacks. Very disappointing coming from a campaign that is preaching fan unity. And just in case there is any misunderstanding, I use that word 'disappointing' specifically. I'm not angry, upset or anything like that. TBH it's been more amusing than anything else but it's got to the point where the level of double-think and hypocrisy is getting a bit much and it's just disappointing that you would treat your fellow fans the same as you treat the 'faceless' owner of our club.

And just to reiterate that neither I, Stuart or anyone else involved with running GCBttR has said anything about this until now because we've actually thought of you as more an ally and that fan unity is an important part of getting back to the Ricoh.

We both want CCFC back at the Ricoh so there's a start. Do we really care who's to blame over that? Is getting rid of Sisu more important than that?

And how about a proper response so we can move forward?

I remember that bit. Where you said you had spoken to all sides. But you hadn't spoken to all sides. Except you spoke to PWKH about beer or something and counted that as talking to Higgs :D Who did you speak to concerning both ACL and CCC?

The JR is fizzling out. ML is desparately trying to get people on his side in the blame game and whilst I think Rob is barking up the wrong tree, he is at least trying to find a solution. The run up to the JR is the time ( now ) to put aside the blame game and start putting forward answers. Both sides probably don't want the JR ( SISU have been told that their hoard of evidence is irrelevant ). So, stop squabbling and put forward your ( sensible ) suggestions.

Selective memory mate :) I had spoken with both PKH & Paul Harris about a lot more than beer inc. how they might have done things differently knowing what we know now (cut short by lawyers!), how the charity/ACL could move on and more. For the record we've also had a minuted sub-committee meeting with Ann Lucas & John Blundell (+ lawyers!) as well as off the record – i.e. I can't tell you – stuff.

I understand that people who want to discredit me, GCBttR or just stir the pot will try and repeat the lie that I said I had had a meeting with AEHC – or variations on that – but I did not and I clarified everything in later posts.

As a general thought, this is a perfect example of how details get mangled and received wisdom – rather than actual fact – gets spread. Then everyone ends up swearing that black is white and we lose sight of the truth in attempt to be proved right.

As someone who has been hardcore anti-Sisu / NOPM for longer than most I'm happy to admit to the mistakes I have made in the past accepting received wisdom rather than trying to uncover the actual truth (the truth is a lot harder work for starters!) and so I can't condemn anyone else for what I see as similar mistakes. But I will always try and help them move on from that. Changing your mind from a very deeply held conviction is a very hard thing to do and very frightening for a lot of people.

Right, I'm off to a family engagement so responses fragmented and I will be invoking my own 'no posting after a few beers' rule later :)

The only problem I have is that you say you were anti SISU but your mind has been changed and you were wrong. But you haven't told anyone who changed your mind and what they said to change your mind but want a leap of faith from a lot of fans who, rightly or wrongly, are anti SISU.
I know CCC and ACL have had their part to play but in my opinion the way SISU have conducted themselves in the name of my club is a disgrace. I can vote against the council if I dissagree with them and can withdraw my financial support from the club or ACL.
Convince me otherwise.
P.S I'm a voter in the Holbrooks ward and received the GCBttR leaflet this morning. It told me nothing to encourage me to vote for Brian (although I wouldn't vote labour either)

Any chance of sharing the leaflet on here? Would like to know RobS strategy and why anyone should vote for a Tottenham fan on an anti Coventry Council ticket.

At least you're somewhere where people bother to leaflet. So far I've only had something off... UKIP:slap:

Whatever happened to those signs in people's windows? Don't see them any more do you? I also have no idea who wants me to vote for them and how they are going to change my life.

You're right, not seen one in years, the old lady across the road used to put a "vote labour" sign in her window but she hasn't done that in years.
Last time I voted was for the socialists, not ever sure they have a candidate this year. Bit like the F.A Cup this elections lark. Not wot it used to be!

I was actually leafleted by Nicki Sinclaire, but I will not be voting for her party.

Thing is, I'd kind of like somebody else to turn up and tell me what their policies are and why I should vote for them.

Won't vote UKIP... but how can I vote for any other party in return who don't seem to care if they have my vote or not?!?

Spoiled ballot paper currently favourite:facepalm:

We want to be back at the Ricoh - Personally I have never been the Ricoh's biggest fan for many reasons that being said I would prefer to be at the Ricoh right now then in Northampton and as Highfield Road no longer exists as a Football Stadium, the Ricoh would certainly do for me.

acl have questions to answer - I think all the parties, past and present have questions to answer and ACL would definitely be among them.

sisu are not good for ccfc - I am not sure about this one.. The way Sisu have gone about running our Club has been diabolical no doubting that, poor Managerial staff alway the way up from the First Team Management Staff (bar the last two managers in Robins and Pressley), all the way up to Board Members who wanted to sit on the first team bench, I don't think anyone ever appreciated the way Sisu pumped their money into the Club, but are they the type that would pump x millions in to ensure promotion? Probably not.

That being said they have highlighted that there was a key issue with our Club, almost unheard of in comparison to other Clubs and their finances and it has taken Sisu a lot of cojones to put up the fight, you would argue that Sisu could have done things in a better way and I'd probably agree, but at least they did something..

Are Sisu good for CCFC? That question at first looks to have a straightforward answer, but my answer to it would be, Sisu are probably the better of a bad bunch, I.e the Richardson's and McGinnity's of this world, who undoubtedly set our Club along the path of ruin IMO.

Agree with most of it. Tbf SISU have kept us alive and they did take over a shambles ( their own fault for not doing a proper "due diligence" otherwise they would have Seen what a mess CCFC was ).
We have to draw a line under the predecessors mistakes. SISU have been there long enough to correct them or to give up and go.

They are still here and are concentrating on the blame game. ML is campaigning to win fans over to the "all the council/ ACL's fault viewpoint" and to have a forum to drag the dirt out and embarass the other parties.
Apart from the good chance of it backfiring and embarassing SISU, how will that bring CCFC forward?
He wants it before the JR knowing full well that CCC are under legal advice not to comment.
More relevant than whose fault is it, is who is going to get us out of this mess?
SISU seem to have no plan other than a JR decision ( which they won't get judging by the last Court appearances ) and a stadium in the Coventry area ( which will never happen ).
It is the lack of iniative and vision of SISU that concerns me. Joy has a great CV and is obviously intelligent, but she has not yet come up with a way out of this mess. She is the owner of CCFC and it is up to her to get things moving.

Lol !!!
Are you for real ??
Sisu have taken us out of Cov we are playing division three football. We are paying a whopping 1.8 million a year interest to Arvo on 50-70 million debt. Arvo have an option to call in the debt this December.
And you reckon they are the best of a bad lot and your giving them praise ??

I may be wrong but I believe West Ham are going to rent the Olympic Stadium for £2.5 mil. a year & Hearn the Leyton Orient Chairman thinks they are getting a bargain.

They may be if they are then keeping all the revenue. The thing thats hurt CCFC was the commercial side of all the income streams. !.2 million for the Ricoh is probably a good price if you then keep all the revenues from concerts, car parking, Hotel rental etc. But when you are paying that out of gate receipts and club shop sales, in the Championship and then League 1 it's OTT. But the club signed the deal, with hindsight, naively, but I do not remember anyone except Geoffrey Robinson, saying anything about how high the gates would need to be to break even etc, so good be a bad deal.
