That is because she once turned him down for a quick knee trembler behind Mr G's.*

*This is not a fact.

Maybe not a fact but it could make sense. You could also assume the same thing with Andy Thorn. Maybe him and ML ended their meeting with a knee trembler?

It's really a bit sad that some on here are gloating about the results. Agree or not with the campaign, but Rob and a few others have put a lot of effort into doing something they feel passionately about, trying to get the club back to the Ricoh, something which everyone on here claims to want.

You all stay behind your screens, pontificating. You all put all that effort into not going to watch the club and keeping your pennies in your pockets. Fucking heroes, the lot of you.

Well done Rob. Anyone who tries to make a difference is alright in my book.

Agreed bitter lemon. I also extend that view to Michael and KCIC

So Patton got 6.5% of the vote (2% according to Grendull)-- hilarious that their campaign statement acts as if they speak for the 'majority'-- 2% fellas, 2%....

I'd agree with that.

It's good that they tried and they should only be given credit for that.

Just as those who put effort into the SBT and KCIC should equally be given credit.

If you apply that logic Lucas will have had more sexual liaisons that Mata Hari. The likes if you astute jack John duffer ron and Spoinkop must have been at it for years.

You must be the biggest hypocrite on this forum - you whine about ad homs and people hiding behind their screens pontificating, whilst simultaneously throwing out insults to everyone whilst hiding behind your keyboard.

In fact, have you ever made a post where you haven't called someone an idiot or worse for not agreeing with your opinion? Grow up.

As for the point about Rob trying to do something, fair enough. The problem here is that a number of people here, me included, have doubts about what he's trying to do. To try to spin that into not caring about the club is bullshit, plain and simple.

I suppose you could be right there. I have 7 kids and there is an age gap of 24 years between the eldest and youngest. Still practicing although not having any more kids :p

Oh look, the usual lot shuffling over the result of a by-election. As usual more interested in the Council than the club. You'd have thought the main interest would have been on CCFC, but sadly no.

I think you are missing the point. It was a council election - not a supporters club opinion poll. The voters were supposed to be more interested in the council.

If people come on here talking about jobs, road surfaces, hospitals etc. you would say they are on the wrong forum.

Whereas you only come second to MMM in the boring, pretentious, know-it all stakes.

Unlucky. Maybe you need to up your game?

Everyone votes based on priorities. You may not like it but you will have to except that issues like schools, nhs & immigration come first when voting. Obviously if your a sado and ccfc / sisu is your life then you would have voted for Patton.
It doesn't mean that you don't want Cov back in Cov like you and Grendel are trying to suggest !!

the fact you think you must be a saddo to have ccfc as your priority says it all.

you are not a ccfc fan, why are you on this forum?

i think many of us are proud to be ccfc saddos.

For me the problem with the campaign was not that it targeted the council, I think most people accept that all sides have a share of the blame (and no, everyone doesn't need to start giving percentages again), but that it wasn't clear how they were going to achieve their aims.

I think if you said to most people, except maybe RFC, if they wanted us back at the Ricoh they would say yes so of course you will get some support running on that platform. The tricky issue is how you achieve that and that never seemed to be explained. There was talk of a manifesto and more details around the launch of the campaign but that never materialised and I think for some people that would be off putting.

The danger now is that CCC can use this result and claim they have a mandate from the Coventry public to continue their course of action and use that as justification to take a hard line stance against SISU.

Just hope that after the JR the situation gets resolved one way or the other and we can all move on and get back to talking about football.

Lets be honest this campaign largely hid its true agenda, hid the fact Patton is a Spurs fan and wrapped itself in Skyblue with a 'Take Us Home' message.
If it was honest it would have got less than 6.5% (2% to Grendull).

Anyways, now comes the JR----

Pretty much the same as the KCIC polls that actually does speak on behalf of the fans ;)

I also say, well done for trying another angle. I am not gloating, but the result shows lack of interest from the voters, as did the low turnout at Rob's demos.

The positive take would be to suggest that Rob reports back to SISU that this angle has been tried and failed. It is now up to SISU, the owners, to take the bull by the horns and get things moving.

The council can sit tight knowing that the Ricoh is a side issue, even in Holbrooks.

Try reading it without your anti CCC glasses on. He has said in the past that he talks to them. What is wrong with telling them the truth of how it is?

Erm, what else do you think the 'S' stands for in 'Rob S'*?!?! You need to start thinking like the rest of us, mate, else this is never going to work!!!

(*Sisu, in case you're still wondering!)

You talking about UKIP?

What happened to them in the euro elections? I am giving an interview today about the euro elections in Germany from the perspective of an EU immigrant. We have Alternativ für Deutschland standing - German UKIP. I want to slag them off. I am no UKIP fan as I am an EU immigrant and profit from being able to move freely in Europe. I holiday in Rumania and do some business in Estonia in addition to having small businesses in Germany and a German common law wife and daughter. I think people forget that it cuts both ways and that a Europe of "Väterlände" has been tried and has resulted in centuries of European wars.
