They could do with you in Palestine, they obviously haven't realised how simple it all is.
Are you saying that it would be difficult in any way for them to release the money or stop the litigation?

Not at all. Some seem to think that there is no reason for talks not to happen now.
Are you saying that it would be difficult in any way for them to release the money or stop the litigation?
Of course not but... Why would they release the money when the final judgement on that is awaited from the FL? Why would they end the legals and weaken their negotiating position? Surely you can see that?
And why would CCC have any trust in SISU?
I don't see how talks can't happen prior to the payment or prior to the appeal being dropped. Seems an excuse to me.

No reason at all. But that's not what we were talking about.
So CCC have no trust in SISU....and with very good reason.....yet there is no reason why SISU should start building bridges before talks?
SISU not paying the money or keeping up with the litigation doesn't give them the upper hand in negotiations. The money that the FL decide on will have to be paid if there is an agreement or not on our clubs return. And why should CCC give a better offer just to stop litigation?
And why would CCC have any trust in SISU?
Obstacles that should be our middle name.
ACL have put in a proviso for talks to comence so it is an obsticle.
Sisu don't want to honour those provisos so they themselves have put an obstacle in the way.
TBF we will be fucked as they both hate and blame each other..
I hope I'm wrong and they meet up in the week.
Is it possible that ACL new this open letter was coming from SISU so jumped in first with their demands for the FL payment in full and the dropping of legal action?
In other words sisu are fcuked and acl know they are. Sisu through their apparent attempt to distress acl have only succeeded in distressing themselves and putting acl inadvertently in the driving seat.
Certainly the language from both statements would suggest so.
Just throwing it out there but I wonder if that would be your response if you were a board member for ACL and you had been on the receiving end of all of Sisu's tactics...........Or if you were owed that money on a personal level, would you let Sisu take the piss despite you having bills to pay? Whether you or others like it or not, ACL are a business and they (like any other business) will take the decision what is best for them and take into account past dealings with Sisu.
This is in no way defending ACL but for all of the shit that Sisu have pulled, would you not want that money nestled nicely in your account before you did anything with them?
Sisu have said so much shit and said it is their way or no way and the moment ACL come out and be firm with Sisu then there are some on here queuing up to have digs at them.
Here is a novel idea, why don't Sisu stop fucking about, pay what they owe on time to the people it is owed to, drop all of the legal shit because it has been proved in a court that they were/are wrong and say to ACL/CCC we want to talk. That would take exactly 1 fucking day to do but no, not Sisu. They would prefer to muddy the water even more and allow the ACL/CCC knockers to come crawling back out of the woodwork to take their pathetic pot shots.
CCC in the form of Lucas are happy for talks to happen!
No it's likely to be the other way round. Lets face it you thought then would give up after the JR.
Sisu will have far greater cash flow than ACL as their business is geared that way. To deny that is ignorance and folly.
But only when the money is paid and the litigation stops. They have cost CCC enough in time, effort and money already.
What happens if the FL believe that the £500k (negotiated down to £300k) was part of this payment and only authorise half payment? Does that mean we can never play at the Ricoh?
Think you're confusing ACL and CCC here!
As things stand it is 590k. It is just SISU talk like the JR was and still is. Then we still have the problem of the ongoing litigation.
I genuinely do not understand why some people are desperate for talks not to go ahead. They can have negotiations, perhaps even mutually agreeable negotiations with the outcome dependent on stopping litigation. The money has left Sisu's bank. What's the problem? Get talking.
If Sisu had won the JR, would you expect CCC not to appeal?

More like don't trust SISU. Don't believe the statement they made. Don't believe that they are ready to bring our club home. Will look for reasons for talks not to happen. Will ask for too much.
Yes as they were right as we all know
But I would have been very vocal against CCC if an appeal was stopping negotiations happening to bring our club home. I wouldn't be looking for excuses on their behalf.

I'm not making excuses, I just don't see why discussions can't take place before it happens.

Do you think that it is worthwhile SISU carrying on with the litigation? Does anyone think it is worthwhile? Does anyone think that they shouldn't stop the litigation so that we can start getting rid of the bad blood between both sides?
Phone is flat now so argue between yourselves. I just don't understand how anyone can think that meaningful negotiations can happen whilst there are more threats of litigation.
No it's not worthwhile, but it shouldn't be a prerequisite to start discussions.

They have paid the money to an escrow account as instructed by the FL.
And let's not forget, ACL aren't legally entitled to it, they waived that legal right when they rejected the CVA. This was a private arrangement between the FL and Otium in order to grant them the golden share.
And I'm not taking pot shots. I just don't see why they can't start talks prior to dropping the appeal and receiving the money from the FL. The payment and dropping of the appeal could be part of the outcome of negotiations.

With regard to your last question, the FL should give the £590k in full to ACL as that was the agreement. If it is found that the figure was too much then any over payment can be reimbursed. Was money recently given back to the club with no histrionics, dramas or bullshit spin like what Labovitch does?
However, you didn't answer my opening questions. I am just curious to see if you would just bend over and take one for the team or you would personally stand up for what you believe in? Everyone knows that this appeal is very likely to fail but is more stalling and further designed to distress ACL so please explain to me why they would want to sit around a table with the very people that are putting the squeeze on them?
Lets not forget what the judge said about distressing ACL. I think ACL have have a right to ask for those conditions first because hard ball is the only game Sisu know. The past offers, invitations to talk and saying the door is never closed on a return has been a softly softly approach which has played into Sisu's hands because they can keep moving the goalposts and continue to distress ACL.
This latest ultimatum puts Sisu in a very different position to what they have been in before because they know they have to pay, they know they have been battered in court and they know that they are not building Legoland so they are the ones who need to come to the negotiating table before ACL because they cannot keep on the path they are going but this hopefully backs them further into a corber
Ouch
Mobile like from me.
I just don't understand how anyone could want SISU to negotiate on their terms. All they have done is gone back on their word or ignored offers. They have used litigation as a scare tactic even if they don't have a leg to stand on. The litigation needs to stop as a minimum if any trust is to be built.
Sisu are still trying to distress ACL, that much is obvious. If they weren't then either a) they wouldn't give a damn about F&B on a short term deal while they build a new ground
But any return to the Ricoh Arena has to be driven by Financial Fair Play. We want what is best for the club for the long term and this must be built on financial stability.
We appreciate that some of you have pledged to pay the rent for the Ricoh Arena. We are grateful. But unfortunately the rent is not the biggest problem. We have always been happy to pay a competitive rent but we need to access the match day revenues.
