Personally, I think his biggest mistake wasn't failing to give out details, but mentioning it full-stop if he wasn't going to.
Many people talk to many others on all 'sides' of this yet don't pass on their conversations - the vaguest hint of a chat with no detail is, however, a bit daft.

Trouble is, it seems few are interested in this, which I find strange. Personally, I would like to know what Joy had to say for herself over 6 hours, and the sorts of questions Rob S asked.
By leaving the feedback until after the "event" (if at all) he can claim anything that comes out was a result of this meeting (which we can then all question of course) but by giving us feedback earlier, well, we can actually give his group credit if it seems to have made a difference.
And yes, as Rob said earlier, there will always be some who want more detail than he can give NW....
