When I've got enough to buy the club I'm going to put the Ricoh on wheels and move it to the bottom of Craven St. That'll liven the crowd up.
Haven't been for a while, heard the Craven has closed now?

Just come from the shop.
20 people in the queue 2 hour wait, no staff.
More then that walked off when told of the time queuing.
They have sold 6500 tickets so far including season tickets.
They Expect a big walk up on the day to get in the region of 15,000.
Don't shoot the messenger.

That's one of the main issues as well, why does it take so long to sell a ticket? Are they driving them to the ground to show them the seat and back? Is it the IT system being so slow? Is it the staff don't know what they are doing?
I'd move it to Warwick so I wouldn't have to travel as far. I'm sure no one would mind.
I lose track myself mate - not been out down that way for a few months myself. Possibly longer. It had reopened (after being closed for a while) when I was down there last, but it could well be closed again. The big breweries seem to have made running a pub a difficult business!
I did my bit to help out landlords plenty over the years, I'd like to think.

How much was a walk up ticket at sixfields ?
If less than we are currently asked to pay why ?
Only been sober twice in years for a game and one of those was a friendly
You wouldn't go there because it was 35 miles away yet expect the same price at the Ricoh.thats some unbelievable hubris.
Says someone who doesn't seem to understand why the vast majority of us didn't go
Oh I understand all right. You were somehow heroic champions of the resistance . Isn't that how you like to rewrite the reality ?
I was of course one of the real heroes.

Ah, so this is more about your opinion of your fellow fans because you've had to queue for a pie than an actual rational analysis then.
Accept it, if ticket prices were lower, we'd get more fans in. It's nothing to do with being destitute, it's about what people see as value for money.
You've got that 'shit fan' mentaility as well - you'd rather sit in a stadium and blame everyone else for not coming, than consider whether there might be ways of encouraging more people through the door. Personally, I don't get that.

1.
a person, typically a man, who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
"a war hero"
synonyms: brave man, champion, man of courage, great man, man of the hour, conquering hero, victor, winner, conqueror, lionheart, warrior, paladin, knight, white hat; More
antonyms: coward, loser
the chief male character in a book, play, or film, who is typically identified with good qualities, and with whom the reader is expected to sympathize.
"the hero of Kipling's story"
synonyms: male protagonist, principal male character; More
(in mythology and folklore) a person of superhuman qualities and often semi-divine origin, in particular one whose exploits were the subject of ancient Greek myths.
so basically you are not a hero
Been sober for every single game I have ever been to. Never, ever had a drink at a football match.
You can see now why I am such a mardy git.
I have only been tipsy at one or two!

Me neither. CAn't understand the getting wrecked and propping up the bar mentality.
Anyone who does can't moan about lack of money - prices are shocking.
Nobody has said we wouldn't get more fans if the price was lowered. My view is that even if the price was reduced to say £15 (non-league prices ;-) ) it would make very little impact on the attendance on Saturday because not enough people in the city give a shit.
I genuinely don't think you'd get more than 1,000 tops who thought "£18-£22 not paying that. What, they've reduced it to £15 - I'm going!"
And for the millionth time I do not apply this to all fans. Some genuinely can't afford to go, I have never denied that.
It's just really disappointing given we've been a away for a year and I can't understand why everybody isn't as excited about Saturday as me. Something I clearly need to address!
When i popped down for a wee during the Gillingham game there were loads down there drinking. I find it really odd.
Each to their own mate, as long as they ain't bothering anybody I'd say. Better they were down in the bar than standing up in front of me dicking around with a beach ball whilst I was trying to watch the match.
Oh yeah absolutely. Just don't get why they pay to get in to the stadium and then not watch the game.
Fair enough, I can see where you are coming from. I think I'd differ in that if prices were significantly less, we'd see a fair chunk more people at the ground, but I'd entirely accept it's about more than just the price. It's not about affordability for many, it's about value, and I think that's perhaps what you're missing, politely. £24 to walk up to an L1 game isn't good value for me personally - for a different game, in different circumstances I'd pay it. But given everything that's a price where I have to, personally, consider whether it's worth it - and in all honesty I don't feel that it is. I accept that you differ.
I think we need to see last week as a one off. Very low prices for what was a very attractive game because of the circumstances. Once we get back into the humdrum of L1 it's entirely different, and I'm not personally surprised or upset that the attendance will be much lower. What I'd like to do is see what can be done to improve that, and the obvious one to me at the moment is the price - there's very little else that the club can control in the short term. It's not about giving a shit or being shit fans - if no one gave a shit we'd have had 10,000 there last week too.
I'm sure it's not your intention, but it's almost as though SISU righting an absolutely horrific wrong means that you think we should forget everything that's gone before and where we are now in league terms, and turn up 25,000 strong for each game regardless. That isn't going to happen.
I think your disappointment and anger is a measure of your passion, and that's fair enough too - but I think there are a lot of previously very loyal fans out there who don't quite feel the way you do at the moment, and the club has to reach out to them somehow.
Yeovil seem to expect that there will be well over 20,000 there Saturday.
It will be those few in the ground that have to take the stick from a handful of Yeovil fans about how awful a decrease from 28,000 to 12,000 is.
Oh yeah absolutely. Just don't get why they pay to get in to the stadium and then not watch the game.
