Looks like pressley is putting in an official complaint, not sure they will do anything about it though.

Don't see the point if I'm honest. Yes I was there and thought exactly as SP. It was obvious the ref was going to blow and nothing was wrong with the goal around 2 minutes after half time. It was a decent goal and completely changes the game.

That's life, that's football. Move on.

Horrendous referring though on Saturday.

I'd rather we had of complained about the goal at Swindon personally.

Don't really see the benefit of complaining tho, the FL will never undermine a referee.

It won't alter the result, but it might highlight incompetent refereeing. Why should we just put up and shut up.

I am certain that neither the Referees association nor the FL will come out and make any statement. But SP is right to complain and cause the FL to assess the evidence. If managers do not, then we will be faced with the inexorable decline in standards (And I may be in the minority to say this but Standards are by and large quite good in the FL)

It will at the very least make officials aware that they have to perform or SP will have you assessed.

course there is a point, refs might start tot hink twice about messing with cov in future

fergie had that power over refs, maybe we can do it on a lesser scale.

Was just going to say exactly this, it is exactly the sort of thing Ferguson would have done, and for that reason alone it is worthwhile.

I am certain that absolutely nothing will be done as a result of Pressley's complaint. The FA/FL simply will not contemplate re-refereeing games, especially as there is no disciplinary appeal involved. As far as refereeing performances are concerned, they do their own assessments so it would be hoped that the match assessor will have picked up on any problems. It is not going to change anything though. Probably best to suck it up and say nowt.

I recall the days when Bobby Gould was manager and he always had plenty to say about referees and their dubious decisions. It always seemed that we got a rough deal around that time and he got a reputation in the game as a whinger. The danger in what Pressley is doing is that he may get a similar reputation. Word gets around in refereeing circles.

Might make ref hesitate at a crucial moment if it's crossed their mind and I bet they hate all the paperwork involved in responding to complaints (though suspect it will make naff all difference!)
