Are People really Bleating? (1 Viewer)

i'm still surprised that Coventry City Football Club fans are beating about something that's going to have a lasting detrimental impact on the club..how odd. They should be rejoicing.

I'll turn it around, as I've shown why it is til I'm blue(or maybe yellow and black) in the face.

Just answer this for me.

Why is the apparent deal, from Wasps better than what Sisu offered.

Would it have made much difference what(reasonably sensible, from both sides) offer that Sisu made if the Council would not sell, or allow Higgs to see to them?

You've not shown it at all.

As I understand it the offer was either £2m, which is less than the current reported offer, or £5.5m which was made up of £1.5m upfront, and the rest over 10 years with no security offered, and this was dependant on getting the bank to agree to take a unrealistic discount on the loan.

So, in summary £2m is less than £2.77m. The second example was never going to become an offer due to the loan, but even so £1.5m with a SISU promise of getting £4m later with no security is no better either.

If you know of a better offer I would enjoy reading about it.

Are you conceding this point about whether SISU's offer was better than Wasps offer?

Bleating should still to be happening to be fair
It's the direction its aimed at that is confusing.
However this thread has showed me about 8 people are aiming their bleating at the council as oppose to our owners for not doing the deal in the first place. They are noisy posters but nevertheless they are still tiny in numbers

funny really, there only seems to be you a 3-4 others that are constantly defending the council, you're noisey posters but nervertheless are still in tiny numbers,

I think the telling thing has been people like LAST, Michael and Duffer et all who are staunch anti-sisu but have been hugely critical of the council in the wasps deal so it seams to me that you and your buddies are in the minority on this one.

And for the record, I don't think there is one poster jay doesn't portion some of the blame on sisu, none of us want them here, none of us support them.

not a big fan of artichokes..

What is it about SISU that you don't like?

If I am defending CCC you and Lord must be defending SISU.

It has been said on here countless times that if you call SISU a bunch of cunts you are not defending them. I have called CCC a bunch of cunts so does that mean I am not defending CCC? Or does it only count for certain people. All this is about how Lord is twisting words to say that he knows that SISU have offered a deal that was as good as Wasps have. But he is yet to come out with any of the details of the Wasps deal and any deal that SISU offered. And also has been going on about the veto that has never been used. Fisher said it was a deal that started at 2m and could have gone as high as 10m. And all dependent on the mortgage being bought out at a massive discount. Who seriously thinks that this would have happened?

So again Lord what are the details of the SISU offer and what are the details of the Wasps offer? Did any offer from SISU ever get turned down? If so what was it?

But do you like bananas?

I like bananas. Especially when they start to get black dots on the skin. I've also eaten red bananas. They're native to Sri Lanka, they'll only grow wild in the jungle you can't farm them and they taste like very strong very sweet versions of your common yellow banana. It's only the skin that's red, the flesh looks like any other banana.

Said on another thread we don't really know the ownership structure of wasps and so for the people of Coventry it's the same as sisu obtaining ownership. Ccfc are worse off but I really do think if a genuine offer for acl had been made then this would have been accepted

I agree, but Sisu tried to make maximum profit on the situation and were outmaneuvered rightfully IMHO.

They need to now move on as I as one have all but given up on our predicament.
I just can't see a way forward for us and Sisu just keep playing games.

Come on Sisu give us some hope.

So not only do you drag up peoples posts from 3 seasons ago to make a point in today's arguments you also monitor peoples likes.

One sad git ?

It's hardly hard to drag up people's posts from the current thread is it?

I think you'll find its a favourite tactic of Dons to dig up old threads for dramatic effect so better aim the sad git title at him.

Your little signature singing sisu's praises was unique - even RFC didn't have one of those and it was March 2013.

You really are the kid in the playground at the back of the crowd shouting he did this and he did that to make sure they have a fight. Seriously, how old are you?

Says the poster who says Grendull Bitter lemon and Suxfields and thinks its amusing.

Stu I asked you a question above I think you missed it?
You mentioned that you don't like SISU, why don't you like them?

Why? Because they are crap owners, their whole strategy since they have been here has been wrong and the fans fav ranson has to take a lot of the blame.

1) they should let us go into admin before they bought us (with a bit of look they wouldn't have been preferred bidder) that would have addressed all our debts.

2) they should have re negotiated the rent deal at the start or better yet immediately bought higgs share. Thanks ray

3) they should have addressed the wage structure right at the start.

4) they have been massively lacking in communications /transparency from the start. The vision, where we are going, etc.

5) wasting good money on shit player - Eastwood, bell, Barton etc.

6) sticking with Coleman

7) they should have agreed to at least one of better rent offers

8) should never have gone to Sixfields

9) the continual board room changes.

10) Orange Ken

I could go on

I am still waiting for the right moment to bring up yours triumphing the hard ball tactics of SISU that will eventually do great things for CCFC. ;)

It might yet, when nobody goes to watch a franchise side and the ground's available even more cheaply...

The distressing campaign everybody can get behind.

You are dull (see above reply to astute for evidence), lemoncelo is bitter (see any off his/her posts where he/she breaks into a tirade of personal insults if you dare question his/her opinion. You won't have to look hard) and playing in Northampton did suck. If you need me to explain that one to you you really are on the wrong forum.

So accurate and factual, not childish.

No pathetic, childish and signs of someone out of their depth.

Are you conceding this point about whether SISU's offer was better than Wasps offer?

No,because in the Waps offer, the lease is for 250 years(though you have a bizarre opinion that the longer it is the less worth it has), the loan is also being paid off gradually, not to be discharged immediately as it was under the Sisu offer(negotiations with YB aside).

Really, what do you see that is so much better about the Wasps offer?

An extra £1.5million(for 100% of ACL), for an extra 125 years on the lease than Sisu wanted?

Great come back. Hardly dull and predictable at all.

The comment aimed at astute fits no definition of the word dull at all.
It highlights an annoying trait of his to say one thing - he is not pro council - while doing another - liking pro council posts. That is a legitate point that if I had done then you and astute would be over it like a rash.

Someone out if their depth would in my view be someone who has to copy others phrases and apply them as their own as they lack original thought.

Namely someone like you

I find it highly amusing that you clearly respect everyone here, or else you wouldn't need to log on every day to defend a different view than your own.

Skybluetalk is your life, it's all you have.

A curious and illogical al statement. Most of my posts are direct and to the point and my average actual contribution is about 30 minutes per day. Others with less posts (one in particular) spends significantly more time comprising their prose - time not thought I have to mention.

Nobody has said sisu are good, some just fail to be able to stomach that the council may be in the wrong for something.

Just by saying the council do something bad, it isn't saying that sisu are good. Some people struggle with that.

I think many self-centred people who support CCFC/Wasps are perhaps the ones suggesting the council have done something bad on this.
The council are perhaps doing their duty to do what is best for their community as a whole is this. In case anyone's unaware - that extends well beyond CCFC.
