what a joke of a meeting that looks like from the minutes.

and running out of time before the suggestions section, surely that should be first thing discussed in any meeting. Whats happened has happened, its what your going to do about it that's important.

four relevant points then .

Nick Eastwood attended so the SBT are not just Wasps toads.

The CT and Skybluetalk are unworthy vehicles of communication .

The Election of DC will be announced post DEC 31st ,candidates announced Dec 12th,anyone know who's standing yet ?

so, to confirm.....

1. the big blanket the kids are producing is coming on leaps and bounds
2. there is some uneven ground by the car park
3.the hot water doesnt work
4.Some people cant hear the tannoy
5. the tables are dirty
6. The food was burnt.
7.people overcharged for tickets

I might be off the mark here, but surely the SCG agenda should be...

1) where is new ground
2) whens it getting built
3) how will we pay for it
4) what funds does SP have in Jan
5) why cant we buy any merchandise

After answering those questions, i might considering moving onto the quality of food and issues with the tannoy

Sounds like a typical committee to me. Plenty of hot air and waffle but nothing gets decided. My experience is that committees simply attract people who are committee-type wafflers.

I can see why the filthy toilets and appalling catering are brought up. But I doubt anything will happen, the bogs will still look like a farmyard come Saturday. As for the blanket thing made by kids, why the hell aren't they watching the bloody match?

For crying out loud, the club is falling to bits and they can't discuss anything of any importance. Sack the lot and get some do-ers in.

I went to one years ago when Ranson was still at the club, basically spent an hour listening to Natalie Cox complain about the lack of tampon machines at the Ricoh.
Good to see they're still as productive.

Who is Ian Davidson and why would fans having a place to suggest questions for the fans representatives on the CCFC board be a bad thing, that should be looked at with caution?

The fans representatives don't have to ask all the questions they can just look at the thread and if most fans agree with a question that is on there. They can put it forward and weed out the crap.

What a strange comment to make, very disappointing. Unfortunately it a sad indictment of where we are if such a thing has to be viewed with caution

The owners just continue to utterly take the piss out of the supporters including the chosen puppets who sit there like stuffed dummies..................they still somehow expect people to keep coming back to the Ricoh with their tongues hanging out like Pavlovs dogs everytime Pressley and Waggot dribble on about 'The Coventry way' etc ! I thought the return to Coventry could possibly herald a new beginning, it took Fisher about a week to rain on that parade though didn't it with his lies and crap !

A post that gets Pavlovs dog in as an example gets a like from me.......it really does sum up the complete lack of interest in the fans from the complete cretins that own us. At least the minutes didnt discuss what biscuits to get for the next meeting.

Fucking hell, took two weeks to come up with the minutes, and that shite is the best that they could do?

Is it invite only to get on the SCG?

Seems to be a load of people in search of a Parish Council to join.

Expect Whist Drives, Tombolas, and the formation of a (Julian) Darby and (Cobi) Jones club to feature high on the next agenda.

Do you have any more details on the Cobi Jones club?

How can the club be serious about anything? Using the club website to Formally publish minutes of what can only be describes as a seriously banal meeting. Not so slightly disguised messaging about how unsuitable we are and it might not be such a good idea to see what people are actually saying.

Quick tell them their views are unsuitable but hide it in amongst the burnt food, ticket office and lack of hot water bits. Publish on the site. That will put them back in their places and restore harmony to the kingdom.

Are our owners also responsible for the North Korean propaganda output?

Celebrates my favourite Cobi Jones moment(though not when he was still with us).

Big Fifa bash to announce the groups for the South Africa World Cup 2010.

Fifa announce: " And now to do the draw, three legends of World Football, Pele, Franz Beckenbauer and..... Cobi Jones".

Funny that the SGC chooses to ignore any complaints about matters under the control of the owners, particularly the important ones about the direction and future of the club and instead concentrate on less important topics that are actually under the control of ACL. Well I guess Eastwood heard.. see if he does owt. Meanwhile will the SGC discuss the more important topics raised in this thread at their next meeting... I ain't holding my breath!

No surprises here really.

Its been clear for a long time that in its current format, the scg is unfit for purpose.

Have I missed this?

"Discussion ranged across stadium plans, the state of the Ricoh pitch and player recruitment in January. A statement about the meeting would be issued by the football club in the morning and in due course by JS and PW. JS reiterated that it would always be a minimum of two members attending."

I have to say I am really disappointed at the link, everything that was discussed is of course relevant, but the fans need answers to the more impending questions? Dare I say it, I am getting frustrated now by all of this..

You've neglected to mention the very important bring and buy sale... I believe that Pressley has identified some targets from it 'he's been looking at for some while'

What I would suggest of all the posters on this thread who are frustrated by the effectiveness of the SCG is contact a representative or if you are a member of the Trust raise it with them, irrespective of raising it on the forum if you don't ask the questions where it matters you won't get answers.

why? Dongozales did that last week on our behalf, the scg just met and decided what they thought about what we had to say. If the minutes of these meetings represent what actually happens the whole lot of them need to go.

MARK SORBIE has been a Coventry supporter for over fifty years. He is a paraplegic as a result of an accident in 1998. He consults the football club on matters relating to disabled supporters.

JONATHAN STRANGE, Chairman, was chairman of Coventry City London Supporters’ Club from 2002 until his resignation in 2013. On Joe Elliott’s initiative, he developed and established Sky Blues International. He has been a member of the SCG from the outset.

PETER WARD, Vice-Chairman, is the immediate past chairman of the SCG. “CCFC is a family affair and way of life.” As commercial director of a major international company, he offers a valuable insight from the local and global business community, whilst fulfilling an ambassadorial role in his worldwide professional role.

I think new members have been added since this list

This is the purpose of the SCG as described on the club website

I don't know the guy. I am sure he is an incredibly passionate supporter.
However I am must be careful drawing conclusions from notes. It just seems he went we should be cautious of that and that was it no go. Why was he not asked to explain, why should we be cautious. Where was the work around. Where was the attempt to resolve any concerns and make it work.
I am not sure if they fully understand the concept.
A thread on here moderated for abuse. It can be opened by Nick.
The SCG can peruse it. If a certain question gets heavily liked and supported on here and keeps getting asked.
It is raised at the SCG meeting. They discuss the merits of the question and then take it forward to the Boardroom.
They feed the answer back in the next SCG meeting. We get the answer on the notes.

They get to show that they are a truly representing the fans. We get to feel involved. We have a channel for asking questions.

To reject such an idea and use the term 'cautious, without any other explanation. To me shows a lack of understanding.

I think the SCG is well intentioned and the people on it are too. However I think it is more of a tick box exercise for the club (whoever the owners have been). It does not seem to be well connected to the supporters either in general or by its representatives. I think it has forgotten its roots and terms of reference, with far too many members to be effective. It has achieved very little, has next to no powers or structure it sticks to and by certain more dominant members coming across as closely linked to the club (they may not be but that's not how it seems) unfortunately comes across as anything but independent. The farce regarding the appointment of representatives to the CCFC board for me summed it up.

I can not help feeling the SCG whilst having some good people on it serves to massage a few egos and in the end delivers on next to nothing but claims a great deal. Just my opinion, which could be changed should the SCG actually achieve something meaningful like asking the Club the difficult questions and telling us all the answers. I wont hold my breath waiting

I don't think any difficult questions will be asked, OSB. I'm sure that the SCG don't want to rock the boat.

Okay, Despite that I have been informed that the SCG has been inaccurately positioned, whereby people are of the belief that the SCG is a Council like figure that can discuss matters with the Club of the nature detailed in the thread, but according to several members I have spoken to this simply isn't the case, in affect the SCG was designed to help improve Matchday experiences at City games and therefore issues of a more serious nature with respect to the business are not the SCG's appropriate forte.

Any issues discussed as such are not included in the SCG's scheduled meeting plans and are off topic discussions raised by individual members of there own feelings and concerns.

That to me was a highlight to the issue, Maybe you should have tried it Noggin.
