Funny some were saying the same thing about him last season the one season wonder would never make it i the championship.

Oh well shame he wasn't with us this season, we would be near the top of the league and could have sold him for double what we got.

How come we weren't at the top of the league when he was here :(

Thats true, but the step up to the PL is much bigger, and really Bournemouth spent relatively little on him front as a lot of the £3m fee will be in add one. I was talking more specifically about a PL club spending £7-8m (as per the post I was replying to), I'm not convinced they would gamble that much money on 1 seasons performance, if they could pick him up for £3-4m then maybe.

I think it's partly luck as well, who would have predicted Juke going to Burnley?

And Leicester going in for Ulloa for 8 million when there are many strikers who outperformed him in the championship.

Most established premier league clubs will go abroad now as they great scouting networks worldwide, likely he will either go up with Bournemouth or possible a newly promoted club would try and buy him who don't have such extensive scouting networks such as say Ipswich or Derby if they went up or a Burnley or Crystal Palace if they stay up.

The fact he is now in the U21 set up could see him pop up on a lot of radars.

Corking flying header by Tabb-not exactly a trademark goal!

Good work by McGoldrick in the build-up.

If Baker moved on by "mutual agreement" then we are most likely still paying his wages. He wouldn't have gone without a payoff, which I'm sure would amount to at least 75% of his remaining years contract being paid up, which would take him easily into the new year salary wise. Nobody leaves a football club for nothing not even if they are sacked.

In hindsight it was terrible business but wouldn't have been a bad decision had Pressley recruited properly, instead he went a blew the wages saved on crap.

I don't know mate maybe it is just me but baker is made for this league. I think he is good enough for championship. Others disagree.
However he eats this league alive. I am not blaming SP. I think bakers wages was the issue. MK dons will pay it hence where they are in the league.
We won't as we waste money on a court case we can't win.

Baker is being paid considerably less by Mk dons than us according to Karl Robinson and he is still one of their highest paid players.

I'd go with that. Who knows in a decent championship team he may even be able to do a job there.

If we go down getting his wages of the books could end up being a very costly mistake. Surely we'll use many more times his wages in lost revenue.

Dele Adebola was interviewed on Radio 5's Non League Football Show last Sunday morning, somewhere between 5-6am, chould still be on iplayer. I wasn't very lucid, so can't remember much, but he did talk about how you have to take your knocks a lot more than in the pro game.

McSheffrey scores in Scunthorpe's 4-1 away win at Orient. He now has 5 over the season. Rory Donnelly scores for Tranmere in 2-1 away win over Exeter (League 2).

Hes happy to go to Tranmere and play league 2 football, but wasn't happy to be here? There must have been proper issues in the camp when we almost got a glimpse of him......

flicked over to Celtic game after the 3rd goal, but saw that Hector goal on 92 mins, brilliant.

Let's all laugh at Villa

I can't see how they're going to survive his season, but Arsenal were irresistible today.
