Lived in Cambridge in the mid-90s and used to go to some Cambridge United games but would never have classed myself as a supporter. Just went along as it was a cheap afternoon out at the football with my mates. Since living down here, with Fratton Park at the end of my road, I've only ever been there once when it wasn't to see us play and that was for an England womens game.

Did think about going to see a couple of Southampton games when they went up. Always felt they were a similar team to us and appreciated the treatment we got from their fans on the day they went up and we went down. Ticket prices put me off doing that and again it wouldn't be as a supporter.

To be honest if the worst came to the worst and we ceased to exist I'd probably be done with football. Went to a few England games when we were at Sixfields to get a football fix and it was a pretty sterile event. Far too many corporates in there.

I have always had a soft spot for both Burnley and Accrington. My Grandfather played for both teams at one time or another, but there would never be the same passion I have for CCFC.

I was born(in Colne) near Burnley and regularly went to Turf Moor with my dad when Burnley were a match for anyone. I move to Cov after Uni and was a season ticket holder in West Stand at HR. Left Cov year bfore Cup Final and have lived in Southampton ever since. Only time I have been to St Mary,s was when CCCFC were the visitors until today when I got tickets for Saints v Palace game this coming Sat. Not been to a City game this season. Totally depressed with what has happened and cannot see any hope of improvement. Crap players, crap manager and crap owners. Club is laughing stock from top to bottom. I,m out!

I'd say that I also support Leamington and Rugby, which is funny as they're old rivals-but not really in the time that I've followed them. I also like Nuneaton, the 3rd part of that bizzare hate triangle. Basically, any of our local nonleague sides. I don't consider them as rivals (yet!) and they all end up with ex-City players on the books at some point or another.

In the league, I could never support another team, but like others to do well and others less so. I tend to support the promoted sides in the Prem as underdogs against bigger clubs (except anyone from Leics/Brum/Nottm), anyone who I can identify with as being a bit like we were when we were up there-so this year, Burnley and Palace.

On the other side, I really really hate Northampton now for some reason...

When I was going to Cambridge games in the mid-90s they were at the same level we are now but that had spent most of the FL life bouncing around what is now L1 and L2. A lot of their supporters also supported a PL team, mainly Arsenal and Tottenham as they were easy to get to. Nobody thought it was odd at all. Not sure anyone of my generation that supports us and can remember many years in the top flight could ever do that but could we see a new generation of supporters who support us and a PL team - hopefully not Villa!

Personally I would never have the same passion I have for Cov for any other team. I have always loved non league footie , I played for Brackley Town in the eighties so I always keep an eye out for them, and when I go home I try to get a game in at their St James park ground.

Since I moved to Diss two years ago the team have been absolutely pants, currently second bottom with six points and a minus 70 goal difference and I have been quite a few times which I do enjoy ,more the experience than the footie , which is so bad Andy Webster would look like Bobby Moore.

So if Cov went into oblivion I would just start being a non league ground hopper full time

CCFC. Other team England.

But i have been going to Wembley mainly due to the Northampton fiasco. Got a bit of a bug for the place.

It really kicked in for me in Italia 90 and Euro 96. Great buzz in the tournaments.

Not so much these days the big fannys.

I only ever have 2 teams and they dissapoint me more and more every year.

But like an idiot i still go to Wembley and the Ricoh in blind hope.

With the sad realisation "maybe one day lads! Maybe one day".

Live here in Weston Super Mare,All my mates are Bristol City fans so have been to a few away games with them.
Been to the Ricoh twice this season v Bristol City and Yeovil.
Went to the JPT game in December and off to Yeovil on Saturday also been to see us v Rovers in pre season twice lately.
Weston are in the conference South and watched them a few times too!!!
CCFC will always be my team though it's in the blood.

Mine would be Ipswich. It goes back to the late 70s and early eighties when (in my opinion), they had one of the greatest teams of any era in English football. How they never won the league when Villa won it is unfathomable.

Cooper, Mills, Butcher, Tysen, Muhren, Gates, Wark, Mariner et al. A great team.

Coventry Wasps

Anyone but them. I could not go to the Ricoh to watch the Wasps ever. For me it would feel like going to a crime scene.
If Cov were no more I would probably go to more England away games.
I did support Utd in Europe during the Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Keane era as they were nearly all British in that side.

I would probably become a member at Warwickshire Bears once they drop this Birmingham rubbish.

I got more enjoyment watching the Seattle Seahawks last night that I had watching the City for a long time.

Rugby Town. I go and watch them from time to time but not as much as The Sky Blues. I have given up on the England national team though. It once ruined my holiday in Falaraki in my youth when England got knocked out the world cup 5 days into a 2 week holiday (fucking Becks getting sent off against the Argies) but these days I couldn't give a flying one over England results because of the bunch and overpaid, overrated pre Madonnas that pull the shirt on.

Ive lived in Bournemouth for nearly 28 years now. I travel to a few games a year so I can tie in seeing my family and my Dad - a supporter since 1946 who after the Chesterfield game at Xmas said to me " Thats it for me now son" Bloody sad to hear that. He used to travel around the country with his brother in a Sky Blue Bubble car to watch them his stories made me laugh as a kid and Ive been going to HR since I was 6 asa season ticket holder before I moved away. I like most have fallen out of love with what had previously been my life. I couldn't support any of those London clubs that charge you £70 a ticket, id you can get one, nah, too many plastics and tourist watching them. London teams are just another tourist attraction. I go and watch Bournemouth regularly, having worked for the local paper down there I covered their games for years and in that time they have grown on me and Ive encouraged my son to support them which he does as wells Arsenal. So for me it would be the Cherries.

CCFC is not the same club I grew up supporting. They have a different ground, different owners, a different nickname, different manager, all different players, different strip. So yes I could easily support a different local club but they would have to be based in Coventry and have 'Coventry' in their name. The only other team I care a toss about is the English national team. I support British clubs whenever they play non-British clubs.

If City went out of existence, I think I would be done with football. A lot of things have pissed me off that has happened around our club, but also what has happened around other clubs. Professional Footballers, they piss me of these days, 90 per cent are well over paid and have over inflated egos.

I might occasionally go and watch a game, but I couldn't commit myself to another club like I have with City. They will always be my club whether they are in existence or not!

I could never support another club myself but know many who do some secretly and some openly.
The thought fills me with dread to be honest but I was asked recently have I another club I like ?
The answer I gave was a firm none, but if pushed I don't mind Fulham as they are in the shadow of their local rivals Chelsea who I dislike,and I went to Craven Cottage once in the 70's to watch us play and liked the ground and their friendly fans. Any other suggestions ?

I don't think I could ever support another football club. However if City ceased to exist I'd probably go to Wimbledon games. Be more of an admirer than a fan though.

I don't think there could be any teams that I support in the way that I follow Coventry - that's something engrained since childhood. However I have been following my local side, Southampton, since we moved down here over 20 years ago. Really chuffed for them at present. Actually I always like to see any small team doing well. Recently I have also started watching for Cov United's results - I really like what they are doing.
