Why hire hockaday?

All the above is my concern regarding hockaday as I stated in other threads. He should NOT replace Pressley. It'll be worse. Yes Pressley isn't the right man but nor is hockaday

Hockaday would be a cheap option and nothing else. Hopeless record. The owners need to bite the bullet and pay to bring someone in, not another cast off. Start by looking at Richard Money and realising they should never have got rid in first place.

If we're looking at realistic options I've been impressed with the work Dean Smith and Lee Johnson have done at Walsall and Oldham. I don't know as much about L2 but I like Ainsworth and Wycombe and Tisdale at Exeter.

Well Hockaday would certainly take up the caretaker role initially, if he does okish he could be appointed as an interim manger until the summer when we can then get in a long term replacement.

Weren't around at that time so can't say but it sounds as if Sillet wasn't a complete failure at Hereford but he was also hardly an exciting appointment.

It sounds like the equivalent now of a premier league club appointing someone like Gary Johnson after he was sacked at Yeovil after achieving great success with them.

But surely he was recruited for what he was doing at City, not what he had done 8 yrs before. Plus he was teamed up with Curtis and it proved successful. You conveniently overlook the fact he got them promoted as Champions. Have they ever achieved more Hereford? As usual you come on here with half baked theories, dig a hole for yourself, then try and twist what other people say round.
