No he is trying to rubbish Sillets reputation when he achieved promotion as champions when he was at Hereford, saying his tenure was a complete flop when it wasn't.
Where he is right is there was a suspicion Sillett's best days were behind him by the time he took over at CCFC - he'd also been sacked as coach by Gould, of course. And I think I'm right he only got the gig because Terry Yorath turned it down. Hindsight proves everyone else wrong, but there was certainly a narrative present that asked how could a man sacked as Hereford manager become manager of *us*?!?
It'd be a bit like Steve Tilson rocking up at West Brom as manager - it'd certainly raise more eyebrows nowadays.
