TM and CCFC are a good match for each other. We need an experienced manager that knows what he is doing. We need contacts in the game. TM needs to get his profile up again. It will be seen as he saved us from relegation. And I certainly believe so. And he will be seen as being in a no lose situation with us. If he gets us to be a mid table/pushing the playoffs he will have improved us. If we do a Bristol he will be the one who turned our club around.

We are in a poor division. It won't take a massive amount to get us out of it. SP used the available funds to put an average squad together. But he couldn't make a team out of them. We were poor. TM comes along when we were starting to look like we were going down. These same players started winning games. Players that were not his choice. But players that some were making excuses up for on behalf of SP. TM has already shown us what he is capable of. Although some will say that there is no proof that he is a better manager than SP just for the sake of arguing. It is all about opinions :thinking about: :D

The last time I looked Blackpool were 40/1 to be Division 3 champions next season with 1/3 odds for promotion. If we are offered anywhere near them odds I will be selling the wife and kids and putting on as much as they will let me as long as we can keep TM

I completely agree with this. TM is old school in the best possible way, his values are solid, and he's straight talking and honest. If he starts talking about next season, I believe it's because he has every intention of staying, and returning our club to it's true status. We cannot compare him with any manager we've had in the past few years. This guy is not in it for the glamour, he's here do do a job, and he's not going to walk away before he's finished it. The only way he won't be here next season is if sisu say 'thank you very much' etc....and I think that's very unlikely. Bottom line is TM took this job pretty much on his terms, and so far everything he said he wanted to do with this club, is happening. Next season is going to be very exciting....

I like the way he doesn't chop and change the team. Once a player is in the team it seems that they will keep their place until injured. He has made the odd change, Reda for Martin for instance. However the nucleus of the team remains the same. To my mind a much better policy as the players are not constantly thinking one poor game and they will be out. Also gives them the chance to really learn each other's game and get used to playing together. This is certainly what happened in 1987 when a small squad of good players achieved great things. This never seemed to be the case under SP. The team constantly changed. It would be interesting to see how often he fielded an unchanged team. I suppose the test of TMs resolve in this Matter will be if/when there is an extended period of poor results. In our case I would like to see a model used of having a smaller squad but of quality (for division 3) players.
Back to TM, he also seems down to earth in the things he says "dads bringing their boys to the games", he comes from an era and place where football was very much a working class sport. I think he would perhaps be more in touch with the ordinary fan than some current Premier League obsessed football people.

Best way to get him to stay would be pack out the Ricoh v Crewe.

Show appreciation to him and gives him something to work with he has to sit down with sisu for more funds

If SISU do not back him sufficiently and he goes, what then?

IF, and it's a big if, he doesn't stay, we will appoint someone who could do a decent job. The foundations are there with the academy for a good man to take over but I think TM has been impressed with the set up thus far so he should stay.

options are - sisu back him - invest £1.5 m in him and the team - we will get promoted
Dont back him - appoint one of the back team staff in charge of kids and loans, we will probably get relegated

so the difference in 2016/17 is 2 divisions and crowds of 12000 v 4000

Do the maths fisher and sepalla

He stays, hasn't done enough in his brief time here for the clubs that didn't want him before, to now want him. Wouldn't have dropped down to League 1 if the offers were flying in.

Rumour has it that TM will sign a one year deal if we stay up and those of you who buy a shirt will be wearing a rehash of the 87 shirt that will be manufactured by Nike under a new deal with the club. My only reservation is the source who is an ex sponsor at the Ricoh and told me that Joy Seppalla told him the new ground would be at Warwick Uni about 2 years ago. That was pants I hope the new rumour is true.

Bang on the money. It's like some are wishing him away because they will have less to moan about in the future.

How long was the Puma deal? Should be able to work out if that is ending this season. Nike make great football stuff so that would be a plus for me.

At the moment some football stuff, great or otherwise, would be progress!

To answer my own question the Puma deal was 5 years which expires this year but the away kit that was introduced this season is supposed to be the 2014 - 2016 away shirt which would indicate an extension had been agreed, or the club has messed up (can't imagine that would ever happen!)

And me I haven't bought a shirt for years as the quality has been shit. Although almost bought the lucky yellow away last year.

Interestingly my Boro mate messaged me this morning saying 'I see Mogga isn't pulling up trees for you lot'. So if that's the consensus outside of the club, then the chances of him staying are higher

What is this with Fisher and Waggot? Both are idiots of the very highest order and need to crawl back under the stone from which they emerged.

We had it so much better when we had Tan Man hailing Thorn and Hoffman saying to the press that he was the man to take us forward.
