What I would like to see is something like a rolling direct debit scheme for 12 months of the year at £12.50 for a season ticket. Something everyone could afford. £150 a year. We should be able to sell 20,000 at that. There would be no excuses then. That would give us an income of £250,000 a month even during closed season, and that is without extras like away supporters or cup runs as well as those that paid each game whilst we are down in Division 3. Fill the Ricoh. Give it an atmosphere.

But what do I know? I am not in charge.

They won't get 20k season ticket holders though. They're aiming for 15k, which would be £2,250,000. Thing is, they'd get all the income from more fans on match day then, plus away crowd, plus a better atmosphere. But I still think £250 for a season ticket is good.

I'm not sure we do know demand is there when tickets are cheap. Sniff of success, yes. But I haven't seen that much to make me think fans will come back if they feel they're saving a quid or 2 a match

To be honest I don't think we will. The per game cost was fairly low anyway. I think people who claimed to not be buying a season ticket due to the cost will now find another reason. I certainly don't think if we knocked another £100 off we would sell enough to cover that lost revenue.

Look at when we reduce the price for individual games, we don't see much of a bump in attendance.

Surely no one will buy one of the first 0- 7000, everyone will be waiting till they drop to your marker of £150.
so to put it briefly we could well sell no tickets in your pricing scheme

14,121 average for 2013/2014 season in Division 3. Good numbers for them. Puts ours to shame.

They have only had 2 wembley finals, a promotion and a decent season this year (another good cup run as well). I cannot see how they can average more than us.

I wouldn't buy a season ticket until the day before the season starts or they have nearly run out. And most people would do the same. So we might sell less.

The other way might work better. First 100 season tickets are £50 next 100 are £100, next 100 are £150 etc. Get some momentum going with the sales, if you got to the start of June and had sold something like 5,000 it might start to snowball a bit.

Obviously you have to be careful that whatever you do you're not shooting yourself in the foot and lowering the total season ticket revenue.
