Season Tickets (11 Viewers)

What I would like to see is something like a rolling direct debit scheme for 12 months of the year at £12.50 for a season ticket. Something everyone could afford. £150 a year. We should be able to sell 20,000 at that. There would be no excuses then. That would give us an income of £250,000 a month even during closed season, and that is without extras like away supporters or cup runs as well as those that paid each game whilst we are down in Division 3. Fill the Ricoh. Give it an atmosphere.

But what do I know? I am not in charge.

A novel but excellent suggestion - should be considered by top brass

£249 is cheap enough.

I agree £250 is cheap enough , we should sell 8000 ish at these prices .. (Should)

£250x8000=£2,000,000

£150x20,000=£3,000,000

Of course the tickets still need to be sold. But it works for Bradford. They will be about sold out each game again next season. And how much better would the Ricoh be if it wasn't 75% empty?

They won't get 20k season ticket holders though. They're aiming for 15k, which would be £2,250,000. Thing is, they'd get all the income from more fans on match day then, plus away crowd, plus a better atmosphere. But I still think £250 for a season ticket is good.

Not saying £250 isn't good. But it is all about supply and demand. We know the demand is there when the tickets are cheap. And we have plenty of seats to supply. And I thought we were getting 50% matchday income.

I'm not sure we do know demand is there when tickets are cheap. Sniff of success, yes. But I haven't seen that much to make me think fans will come back if they feel they're saving a quid or 2 a match

I suppose we won't sell any more by reducing them to £250 this season. You had better let SISU know.

To be honest I don't think we will. The per game cost was fairly low anyway. I think people who claimed to not be buying a season ticket due to the cost will now find another reason. I certainly don't think if we knocked another £100 off we would sell enough to cover that lost revenue.

Look at when we reduce the price for individual games, we don't see much of a bump in attendance.

Bradford averaged 13k in a 25k stadium, in what world is that sold out each game?

You are right. Not been to Bradford for a lot of years and it has been extended since I was last there.

14,121 average for 2013/2014 season in Division 3. Good numbers for them. Puts ours to shame.

Maybe our owners should look at this
First 5000 £250
5001 -6000 £240
6001 - 7000 £230 ....and so on til it stops at £150 per season ticket ...
Thoughts ??

Surely no one will buy one of the first 0- 7000, everyone will be waiting till they drop to your marker of £150.
so to put it briefly we could well sell no tickets in your pricing scheme

No as they will do a club shop voucher scheme .. So if you buy at £250
And we sell lots you could end up with £100 voucher .. Makes sense to me ..

That would mean creative thinking/ marketing though... won't happen!

They have only had 2 wembley finals, a promotion and a decent season this year (another good cup run as well). I cannot see how they can average more than us.

I wouldn't buy a season ticket until the day before the season starts or they have nearly run out. And most people would do the same. So we might sell less.

I like to think my glass is always half full. If that helps.

Not if its half full of mind bending LSD that makes you post like a delusional cretin then no.

The other way might work better. First 100 season tickets are £50 next 100 are £100, next 100 are £150 etc. Get some momentum going with the sales, if you got to the start of June and had sold something like 5,000 it might start to snowball a bit.

Obviously you have to be careful that whatever you do you're not shooting yourself in the foot and lowering the total season ticket revenue.

A good business would calculate the most economic price that would generate the most profit.
I would guess that maximising revenues before June 30th would also aid fair play rules in respect of next years spending on wages.

Honestly. £249 is a good price, i can't believe that something that should be viewed as positive is causing so much negativity, who gives a damn what Bradford are or aren't paying?
