Season Ticket Sales (3 Viewers)

Doesn't sound great Adge, did they try and do anything to enable those they couldn't serve to get the early bird price later in the week or were they happy just to let them walk away?

Can't work out why it's quick and easy on the website and takes forever in the shop, must all feed into the same back end system. If it was being slowed down as it had to process each fixture as someone in the shop said why didn't they take the fixtures off the system? Not like they've got individual games on sale yet.

I'm sick to death of hearing all this shambles at the club shop.

We want to sell tickets so let's sell them it should be 5 minutes really a customer and move on. We have potentially missed out on how many sales due to long queues.

I'm sure they don't want to go slow etc but can't something be done for people who don't buy online? I mean I always buy online myself but not everyone can and plus you want traffic in the shop.

People do.

Seems an in built personality trait for some folk.

When they replace the ticketing system I hope they get something that can have mobile units. How good would it have been to have had a stand at the Godiva selling season tickets. With all those people there if you had various players there over the weekend and some merchandise for sale as well I bet they would have done OK. How many people who'd had a few would suddenly think its a good idea to get a season ticket?!

They could do the same in town over the summer if it was mobile or even on the morning of matches.

Might be a silly question, but why wait until the last few hours of the last day to get season ticket ?:thinking about:

Well it's still a time allocated for selling tickets at a certain price.

There's a difference between things selling out by the time you get there, and not being physically able to give the club some money (that it needs)!

We really do look for any excuse to complain. The season tickets have been on sale for weeks on end. Why the hell would you wait until an hour before the shop closes on the last day, to go and get one ?

For something like that if they had any sense they would pre print all the tickets and not let people choose where they were sitting. Would speed things up if you just said how many you wanted and paid instead of people who haven't been to the ground in years taking half an hour to decide where they want to sit.

You used the s word this club has had none of that for years. Maybe they should gag any fans that go in as I have said before go into the shop buy ticket and piss off nobody wants to hear how you sat in the same seat at hr for 35 years.

Just a minute squire! Do you not think we tried to do it online outside the shop when we were in the que? The fellow in front also couldn't do it at home on his pc and we were all told that if we came back tomorrow that we would be charged the higher price even though it was the club website that was not working AT THAT POINT.
Now I will take it on the chin that I left it until the last day but to be told you were going to be charged the extra for something that is not your fault is taking the piss. There were many people who were buying today that were either turned away or gave up. Now that is the clubs responsibility.

That's what I don't agree with, if they are at the shop and it doesn't work at no fault of their own the club should have taken their details and called them back to either do it over the phone or open up later on a designated day just for those to buy at early bird price with a free tea or coffee while they wait.

Would leave a much nicer taste in mouths.

The club should be doing everything possible to take money of us mugs that want to give it to them.

genuine question, why would anyone queue up to buy season ticket and not get it online ?

I cant remember the last time I queued for a ticket for any event, concert, sport etc.

Some of the people in the queue could have bought it on their phone quicker than waiting in line.

Give it a go now, just tried it and got up to the point where you have to pay with no issues so whatever was wrong earlier seems to have been sorted.

No one was answering. Obviously tried that first.

Nothing changed there then.

They have been using the we are getting a new system excuse for ages.
They should Just get it done and stop pissing people off and then making out people don't care.

If they cant handle 5,000 s/t sales then thank god we are only getting small attendances. what would it be like if we get Man u in cup.

If people missed out because the website was down they should complain to the club.

Is anyone surprised though? The club couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

We tried that mate in the que outside-website must have been down at the time. But you're right, I wouldn't have been standing there either if we COULD have done it online.

Don't wish to moan too much as I got mine relatively easily online last week, but they do make a habit of saying they are looking into things or waiting for answers and it all goes quiet in the hope that we forget;

Waiting to hear from the SCG about being allowed to have home fans in the south stand (as if it's an issue with any other club in the country)

Asked about having a credit facility set up for season tickets (I know 5 people who would've bought one had this been available).

Let's not forget the 'new stadium'.

I'm sure there are many more but the 3 above stick out in my mind at this moment in time.

Surprised to hear of any web problems. I logged on at about 10 last night and had absolutely no issues getting one online.

I went on-line last night at 23.30pm and bought 3 season tickets without any problems at all.
No issues with it.

Does anybody know how many season tickets have been sold up to now?

I'm not expecting a great number as we've not made any signings and most would have been bought with blind faith and optimism of things to come I reckon. (Or a cruel addiction!)

should make for much better atmosphere this season, ST alone is basically jpt attendence guaranteed for every game
