Season Ticket Sales (14 Viewers)

Even the current 'higher' price beats last season. Outside of a fantasy of matching Bradford who seem to have the numbers, there's not a lot more they could really do.

he has a point

there are pros and cons to early bird deadline price change

might have still been a big wave to ride at original prices.

A good season this season, and/or improvement on the field will result in more ST sales next season IMO.

Those that have gone away will be tempted during this season if the team are doing well and the club seem to be moving in a positive direction for once.

When do you think would the "big wave" be then given people have had 3 months of earlybird prices.?

alot of people live wage to wage. in july football might not be their priority, come august it could be.

some people just like to wait before they buy, now those waiting may just decide not to buy rather than buy late.

as i said pros AND cons to it.

The smart thing to do now imo is to add value to a season ticket purchase, there is nothing wrong with early bird pricing, i assume most clubs do it but once that price ends it's then very unappealing to buy a season ticket, people feel they have missed out and have thrown money away by not buying earlier this makes people less likely to buy. So you need to break that psychological barrier whilst not upsetting the early bird customers, adding value is the way I'd do it, A season ticket + a new home or away shirt + a car window sticker (which provides advertising) for £310, make it a single week special offer and then do another single week special offer just before the season starts perhaps this one would be a season ticket + a sky blues player subscription.

They should improve the website too, there is no link to tickets from the new club shop and it is surprisingly difficult (well not obvious at least) to get to buy season tickets from the main site, If you go to the main site, choose tickets>season tickets from the menu you get http://www.ccfc.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/ and bizarrely there is no direct link from that page to buy season tickets, nore is the import information particularly obvious, you have to enter articles till you find one with a link, won't take you long of course but you should make it as easy as possible for people to spend their money and it's not.

I think they'll have a couple of problems with the suggestion - however good it is. All the Football League websites are the same template, so I imagine they can't just put buttons etc in. Also, with the new JustSport stuff - can they give add shirts etc in to deals?

They've managed to Add a link to 'SkyBlue Energy' as the first option on the site tool bar.

They mostly use the same template but it's not completely rigid and is a little customisable, a few club sites do look like they've had more attention put on them than others.

fucks sake.
I don't understand why they have to put it up no one is getting anything different. I'm not saying compete with Bradford just some people can't afford to pay £250 out within 2 months. And be careful who you are using abusive language against.

The early bird is to encourage people to purchase early, in part to ensure the club has money coming in over the summer when there are no matches. That's why all clubs do the same thing.

If they stayed the same price a lot of people would wait until the last minute so as well as not having any revenue over the summer the club would struggle to cope with selling and issuing all the season tickets at the last minute.

Don't see what the problem is, the early bird prices has been available for plenty of time. Typical cov, always an excuse ready.

il Parkinson was left buzzing after hearing that City had broke through the 18,000
“One huge advantage we can have this season is our home support and the ground going to be as full as it will be for every game here.

One year The CCFC board will work out the benefits of filling the Ricoh week in week out and will also offer an amazing season ticket deal. Including free for under 16's when bought with and adult ticket.

Moan moan moanity moan, excuse, excuse, excuse. The current deal is one of the best in the league but is yet still not good enough.

Nice rhetoric from Parkinson, the proof of the pudding will be what results they get as bigger crowds also increases expectation and pressure, given they were the second best supported team last season their home results were pretty average, in fact they faired better away.

So you think we should charge a minimum of £25 a game on match days?

Bradford season tickets seem to have now increased to £299 and £199 for under 16's

So you think we should sack Tony Mowbray?

I like this game you play a lot.

What's it called again oh yes....

I think you are wrong by the way we shouldn't sack Mowbray

For the record I think we should do a ridiculously cheap season ticket that will still gives us the same revenue generated by fewer sales of a more expensive season ticket. Also the increase in sales covers the ability to sell season tickets for under 16's sold with an adult ticket for free.
We should also have the deal on throughout the summer so when we make marque signings we get the full impact of the reaction.

How much did the club reduce prices this season?

The most idiotic post of the year. Do you understand anything about price elasticity?

As for no price increase on the ridiculously cheap price we would have any revenue to purchase anyone until day the season starts.

We are cheaper than Bradford.

The last line gives you the title that you so desperately try to bestow upon others

The price and all round deal that led to Bradford selling 18000 season tickets is the one even a flagellate protozoan would understand you need to compare to.

Try and educate me on the basic components of PES and PED once you actually understand the two products and time frame you are actually comparing.

How many more do you think we will sell? But of a gamble is it especially as the early bird was quite a cheap price.

It is all well and good throwing tickets around like they are sweets but aren't they the club's main earner?

At £199 with no DD do people really think the club would have sold more than 8,000 tickets? I think not.

To get 18,000 STH at CCFC you would have to sell ST for a fiver!
