2nd or Playoff Winners? (5 Viewers)

Just thinking of the season ahead and the possibilities of promotion and for some reason the question entered my head. If we failed to be crowned champions would you prefer 2nd place or winning the playoffs?

I'm thinking winning the playoffs. 2nd place is a bit of an anti climax for me compared to the excitement of getting to Wembley and winning the final. Don't get me wrong, I'd take second place but if I had the choice...

Aged 40 and I have never seen a top six finish, I would imagine there aren't many teams in the world who have such a proud record

I'm 61 and like you have to go back to when Noah was a kid to recall anything exciting other than the 87 Cup win.In fact it was Noel Cantwell who got us the top six spot which got us into Europe.If we got top six this season I'd be as happy as a fat kid in a cake shop !

If we were guaranteed promotion and it was a choice between 2nd or play offs, I'd pick the Wembley trip. It's a bit of rubbish dilemma really as 2nd guarantees promotion, the play offs don't.
