It can be read two ways and we already know who'll read it one way and who'll read it the other.

He'd definitely have been better keeping quiet.

When did he say that

Waggott: "Throughout the summer, we've been really happy to see the amount of fans return to the club and buy a season ticket.

"Our sales have helped fund a positive transfer window so far but as Tony Mowbray has said recently, there is still a lot of work to be done and players to bring in.

"We'd still like to bolster our forward line and the wide areas, and season ticket sales are imperative to get these deals over the line.

"As our fans know, season tickets are the club's main source of revenue and we need to reach our target to fund a squad which will be capable of success next season under the Salary Cost Management Protocol.

"Hopefully, those supporters who are still undecided have been encouraged by our recent transfer activity and will commit to us before the 2015/16 season."

I remember that when the poster boy, Ray Ranson informed fans that the number of season tickets sold would impact the squad quality he was lauded as a genius and other such hyperbolic nonsense.

More season tickets means more cash in the bank is hardly a radical statement of spewing vitriol against supporters.

Applies to just about every club in the country, that!

If we brought in 2 strikers as promised that might generate a bit of a surge in ST sales think we are down to the seeing is believing fans now, there is a rise in hope compared to recent seasons so come on Waggott take a gamble

Yep, and we've knocked our ST prices down by 25-30% yet haven't had a particular increase in sales. So in a way we're already down in revenue this far.

LOL!! This just proves how blinded by hatred some people are.

HOW DARE HE SAY WE WOULD HAVE MORE MONEY IF MORE TICKETS WERE SOLD!!

No one can blame the fans for any apathy I think we only had about 7000 ST holders pre-Northampton. If Waggott has said that just shows his ignorance

He's saying exactly the same thing he said all summer isn't he? We know SISU aren't going to cover any losses so where are people expecting the budget to come from beside ticket sales?

So the playing budget is about 2:5 million that works out at about £50:000 a week that's not a lot of money. So you can understand them taking their time with signing players.

He can say what he wants,, but he is stating the obvious and if he and his friends ran the club in a proper manner he would not have to be banging the drum now about targets of ST sales having an effect on the ability to compete..He has made decisions that has cost the club 50% of game day fans,, what does he want now all come running because he is poor at his job.. The man is a clown blames everyone but himself for the state of the club, he hides behind every decision he has made..

And on the other hand of hatred is to love, that can also be blinding, what he has acompished while in his role at the club?... Every manager pays for bad results on the field,, he should pay for bad results off the field and TM told us how bad it was before signing his current deal.. Again nothing said because SW comes across as a nice honest, decent chap,, the man is a blagger, illusionist and some fall for it.. He tells you what you want to hear while his actions are doing exactly the opposite, he has been the driver for so long now and never has been asked to confirm his involvemnet in so many of the bad decision while at the club..

SO he is doing it purely on a selfish level, for himself and the owners as oppose to trying to help the club with extra revenue?

Surely doing his job properly is trying to get people to buy season tickets, and saying the benefits if they do?

Surely, in fact, his job is saying exactly what this statement says?

Half the Chairmen/CEOs around the country will be saying the same thing, it's bland nothingspeak!

What has he accomplished,, what has he brought to the club and has he ever been held accountable for his actions.. Answer NO, because we dont know his actions, he claims his idea when it works and someone elses fault when it fails.. Is he selfish,, YES,, he stated when he was no longer wanted he would walk,, he in my eyes is not wanted by the 50% that stay away,, he should walk for the good of the club.. He has done a terrible job and should not be making silly obvious statements regarding ST sales and ability to compete today.

But the bottom line is he gets away with these statements, I have never heard him put on the spot by our local media in any interview, in fact it was during Mowbray's manager negotiations he come under most pressure and what happened he went to ground for weeks

Bury 3,000 crowds got Leon Clarke and Tom Pope? Bollocks Waggott, treated the fans properly in the first place it wouldn't have come to this.
