Wasn't he just stating the obvious? Not too sure what the big issue was
The income is limited to 23 days a year and only a small percentage. We don't get direct shirt sales only a percentage.
Other clubs have 365 day income from their stadium or at least the ability to get it.

The club think its a big issue, which is why they are explaining his comments today..
Are you surprised hill83 ?
He was, and we've had 18 pages of moaning following on from it. Pretty pathetic tbh.

Pathetic is SW role in this current page of the clubs history,, but if you think he is doing a fantastic job then good luck in 4 years time with him... The club like some felt like he was putting the blame on stay away fans for not being able to compete.. If you want to keep saying more numbers mean more money, as why people have posted then you are looking at it wrong..
Everybody knows that,, he stated the obvious and in my opinion nothing wrong in saying it,, i do take exception to a comment about 15% less means not being able to compete,, he has spouted for more than a few year we have a top 6 budget....Where and why is that now different,, even at NTFC he was saying top budget ,, someone is pulling our pants down don't you think...Or you just going along with those who want to skip past why fans are concerned about what he said, other than the obvious...
No. I knew we wouldn't sell enough season tickets.
That's definitely not what people want to hear hence the uproar but that's it.
Sisu have cut the club off, we knew this. Unfortunately it's as simple as that and the buck stops with us now.
So no, I'm not surprised at all.

we have apparently a top 6 budget, he has said that often.
Honestly.....we know why, Jan explained why after the SCG. Sisu are no longer prepared to fund us, therefore the club has to use the income it generates to fund itself. They have prepared the budget based on ST sales and matchday ticket predictions/forecasts, and have lowered prices and signed Mowbray and given him control of the budget. Now the we are not meeting targets, the budget is going to have to be squeezed until cashflow comes in. OSB has summed it up pretty well. Waggott was not blaming fans, he was just reiterating the importance of ticket sales were in having a competitive budget and signing the players Mowbray wants. No one is appeasing Waggott, no one is saying he is doing a good job. the fact is lower revenue = lower budget = less competitive team. It is not rocket science. Yes we can argue about the chicken and egg, but the fact is the club is now having to be self sustaining and ticket sales are the main source of income.
God help the club if it ever becomes fan owned.
How the hell did you come to this conclusion from my post?
I can't get my head round how he still is in his position,, he is not accountable for any of his actions, yet all others are,, including fans...Ar Well, day nearer a new stadium i suppose....
\You didn't call him a cheeky nickname or a c**t. I might need to edit my post or people will think I'm popping round his for a massage tonight.
\
Don't get him to be calling me names, i'm only a little lad with a soft heart and easily offended!!!!
How do clubs who sell a lot less season tickets than us and have gates a lot lower than our paltry 7/8000 get around this SCMP or whatever get on then and isn't there a court case or an appeal looming over all this issue. Luton ??
Unfortunately he is accountable to Sisu, not us, and we can only assume he is meeting the objectives that they have asked of him, which is why he is still here.
If Waggot left tomorrow, what would be different? Sisu will still not fund us, Sisu will still be taking CCC to court, Sisu will still be insisting on the new stadium charade, there would still be no more money for signings, he'd just get replaced by another (m/p)uppet.
The playing budget is based on 11, 000 fans at home gates highly unlikely to happen unless we start really well.£2:5 mmillion apparently which is only £50:000 a week not a lot of money so I think another struggle on our hands this season.
Does anybody know if the club risk of being put into player embargo on Sep 1st if we don't sell enough ST?
??? c**t !!
How? He's just asking a question and by the sounds of SISU publicly coming out and saying we need to sell more, it could be true.
