He is stating the obvious and setting it up for future reference as he always has,, if Sisu ran the club properly ST sales would be up to 8000-9000.And he would not have to make stupid Statments..

He'd then be trying to get it to 10k-11k, you'd hope...

Perhaps he should have recruited Hockaday as manager instead of the fans choice Mowbray, that might have saved a few quid and then he wouldnt have had to state the economics about season tickets.

(Cue meltdown ;))

By running the club properly, I guess you mean over spending, using money we do have to buy players we can't afford whilst building up some more debt in the hope the fans will flock back?

I agree but he made his target known, setting it up for todays ST sales effecting budget, less chance of success ,, when he should be answering did BFC pay a promotion bonus, if so does that go in the playing budget?? why was not scouting network set up,, why did TM have to spend money on Training ground facilities instead of using it for playing budget!!.. Lots of questions he would not want to answer as it would show him for what he is.....

Bury 3,000 crowds got Leon Clarke and Tom Pope? Bollocks Waggott, treated the fans properly in the first place it wouldn't have come to this.

Nothing to do with their crowds, and let's just see how that works out for them shall we? Many Bury fans think they'll be shaking buckets on the terraces to stave off admin again by Christmas.

I mean not moving out of the city, not signing managers to 4 years deals,,, i mean building a scouting network, i mean open honesty with fans,, building a stadium,, stop going to court!!!!!!!... He is correct in his statement about ST sales effecting budget everyone knows it,, my question is why he thinks fans will run back at the beat of his drum, when he should be asking himself has he done a good job in helping this club move forward.. So post all you want but if you ask yourself the question the answer will soon come along...

Seems the obvious thing to say. The more money from ticket sales the more revenue to spend. One of the few sensible comments from SW we have had. Trouble is he is so tainted with strings of half truths and illusions that fans cannot take him seriously. If this is the start of a new openness and honesty with the fans then I for one will be happy. I'm looking forward now to information about this new stadium, serious investment (effort as well as money to the structure etc) into the proper running of the club and building bridges with the various stakeholders he and others have continually burnt

Remember when we played them two years ago? There were just as many City fans as bury fans there.

Loads of drama over nothing. He is being open and honest. The club is now dependant on its own income, ticket sales fuel the budget including transfers. He has thanked fans for renewing, he hopes more fans will commit to season tickets.

He has not come out and 'blamed' anybody.

Bury have had investment through a bond to raise funds. At least make some attempt at research before spouting tripe.

It can be read two ways and we already know who'll read it one way and who'll read it the other.

He'd definitely have been better keeping quiet.

I've seen a few responses from people on Facebook and Twitter which make Tony, sky blue John et al look like intellects.

Presumably the Fix Football, no more hedge fund or speculator brigade are happy they're finally attempting to run the club in a sustainable manor? Imagine this happened 20 years ago?

Sky Blue John - Shame he seems to have disappeared - a true legend of the insignificant diatribe. Even gave Tony a run for his money.

When will these pair of fucking morons in Waggot and Fisher just learn to keep their fat useless gobs shut ! WTF do they actually do anyway apart from make excuses for the hedge fund. We all know that ticket revenue = budget but why just season tickets ? surely circa 4000 x £18 match tickets per game from extra casual support is just as important and is a reason to put out and invest in a competitive squad. They seem to be putting out the excuses already before a ball has been kicked and indicating where they will point the finger of blame !

The only thing I want see after Waggot is has left the club, no comment on how many of the packages have been sold and how that compares to his targets, quite a few of the fans have bought the packages to see the intent from the owners and now they have seen the lack of it again.

He did say he would go if the fans no longer wanted him maybe he needs to ask them as I am fairly sure a lot don't.

Open and honest,, more like stupid and obvious,, before making remarks about not hitting his ST target , he should of thought why are 50% of the fans not turning up or getting a ST.. If so he would understand most are sick of his and Sisu's BS,, we do not need to be rediculed i think they have done that to us enough, don't you...

If we brought in 2 strikers as promised that might generate a bit of a surge in ST sales think we are down to the seeing is believing fans now, there is a rise in hope compared to recent seasons so come on Waggott take a gamble

An interest bearing gamble, on fans who will still find reasons for not going; "Why are we signing young kids?" "Why are we signing has beens?" "Why is it only a 2 year contract?".......

Waggott and fisher through their stupidity have ruined the fan base
Many won't return until Sisu go

Perhaps if they spent less money on legal fees people would feel more inclined to invest in the team

Question is what is waggotts role?
Is he really needed?
Getting rid of him and his pal would free some wages, let TM run the club joy?

He's being honest. The transfer budget is reliant on ticket income. Absolutely simple.

Some of the above you're confusing Waggott, the manager and SISU. the other problem you've got is we only averaged 11k before the court case, before the 4 year contract, before moving to Northampton and before mentioning a new stadium.

We know the owners are shit, and Waggott isn't much better. But moaning about an statement in the paper is just odd, like you said it's obvious, why don't you have a go at Andy Turner or Simon for writing and publishing it? It's obviously a slow news day and as we know the CET can't wait to put the boot in.

You say he should look at him and SISU, what do you expect them to do? Sell up?

I believe he is being dishonest. Buy a ST = you get your dream winger? You believe that? Really?

Im not sure if anyone is saying different,, i agree with him.. It is his job to attract fans to the games,, he has failed in everyway he possibly can to do a good job at the club.. That is my point ,, what does he do,, when has he take accountablity for his actions.. And yet nobody has asnwered why no scouting network, why 4 year deals, why are they not so obvious about building a new stadium or even a furture for the clb.. Thats where i want open and honest,, not ST makes us able to spend more money on the field... FFS...

"We'd still like to bolster our forward line and the wide areas, and season ticket sales are imperative to get these deals over the line''

Simpleton. Company law dictates a CEO is required.

As for "many won't return" let's see what a good old JPT area final does to that piece of tripe.

How clear do you need it, they take us Northern Midland types as being utterly stupid and many are if they can't see through their usual blundering PR and marketing antagonism.

Can't see where he mentions 'dream wingers'. It doesn't even say further season ticket sales.

If there is another way to read that sentence it would take a fool to find it.

Seems to me the truth hurts. Ticket prices reduced, fans can't be arsed. Can't be arsed fans still bleat when loads of players aren't signed.

At the end of the day there is more professional and inspiring ways of encouraging ticket sales, it just highlights how out of depth as usual these clowns are. I bet in truth when Joy reads the press releases she must be itching to get shot of the idiots that she has sitting on that particular project.

Any idea how many fans we have left after northampton wasps etc even if some money was spent on d squad? Are we down to about 10k realistically I'm assuming none of the kids are supporting us these days?

Reducing prices by 25% and appointing a manager who most said would never manage in this league are signs of glaring incompetence I agree.

That's bollox and you know it, you are only referring to ST sales. The catchment area involves 1/2 million + people and their old computer records indicate 250,000 registered purchasers. That's a hell of a potential customer base to attract back but this is SISU and they want the money up front as usual.

Those are great things and I applaud them... but they don't make Waggot's remark any more palatable.
