Sky Blue Kid will you be at the game on Saturday?
I'm not a real supporter mate, I don't go to matches anymore. I did go to the USA for 6 weeks with money I'd saved by not watching dross football that our owners served up. Forget the 40 years(Apart from playing football myself) of very rarely missing a game home or away, and Religiously buying ST's year on year. When SISU move on then I'll be back. Not until. Why you asking mate?

Just wondering, thought you and Grendel could finally settle differences over a drink but that's obviously not viable.

So you say you'll be back when SISU go, was you not at the Crewe JPT game or homecoming game? If we got to Wembley or had a chance of promotion on the last day, wouldn't you be there?

@ SlowerThanPlatt.............. No mate, wasn't at Crewe JPT game.... No, wasn't at the "Homecoming game, No wasn't at Arsenal game, No wasn't at Spurs game, No Wouldn't go to Wembley, No wouldn't go if we had chance of promotion on last day either. Would have to borrow a suit off Grenduffy to get into his horsebox, I mean directors box to shake him warmly by the throat, but seems like a long queue in front of me to do that according to Ecky :) hill83.... Keep up "Chubby Chops" My suits were sold at auction, with the proceeds going to my son's recruit's family who tragically lost their son in drowning accident earlier this year. Oh wait a minute, my beautiful young wife bought me a cracking suit from George at ASDA last week. (Not bad for £40)

Fans fault for not buying season tickets so no strikers...couldnt make it up
After supporting the Sky Blues since Jimmy Hill's days and being a SISU hater for 8 years I've finally been told whose fault it is that we are in this mess. My apologies to SISU as I understand after Mr Waggott's few fine words that it isn't his fault, Mr Fisher's fault and not even Ms Sappalla, it is in fact our fault for not coughing up good money for shit football.
I just hope that another 10,000 misguided souls will put their hands in their pockets and stop paying council tax and go and buy a season ticket.
You have to laugh don't you ???

CCFC release statement following Waggott's statement yesterday re season tickets -

"Season ticket sales are of paramount importance to the budget Tony Mowbray has to spend on the pitch ahead of the 2015/16 League One season.

"Comments from the club yesterday were only to reinforce this fact as we're still 15% off our season ticket target which, under the Salary Cost Management Protocol, will negatively impact on the product we can put on the pitch."

well under the Salary Cost Management Protocol i'm sure things would be improved by the removal of TF & SW to save the club an inordinate amount of money

I have read the clubs what looks like a shocked into saying something statement re. Waggotts remarks and this SCMP thing. Of course the more fans through the turnstiles the more revenue we get, but it doesn't have to be season tickets, put a product on the pitch worth spending 20 odd quid on once a fortnight and people will come, be at the top end of the division and challenging more people will come and the extra money will go towards SCMP calculations, won't it ?
On a purely financial setting 2000 walk ups is more beneficial finance wise than STs. So Mr Waggott help us to sign our much needed strikers, give us the chance to challenge, then and only then if the support response is poor come out and say so

TF and SW wages does not have any impact on the SCMP whatsoever.

Does anybody know if the club risk of being put into player embargo on Sep 1st if we don't sell enough ST?

I'm not sure if Fisher or Waggott will be on a "wage" i believe they could be contracted to sisu for whatever months or years for ex amount of pounds. Might explain why they are still here !!

From what Waggott told SCG it is a possibility as the player budget is a percentage of the budget he has submitted to FL - if we are not achieving that budget and can show no reason why we would achieve it (ie no initiatives being introduced etc) then FL could place us in embargo, although he didn't state what the date of the next review by FL of our performance to budget would be. As with everything with the FL it would be at their discretion whether we are embargoed

So that could be the reason for Waggott's statement?

Our club is not Otium or whatever they want to call themselves this week. Our club is Coventry City Football Club. All of these names made up by them is just a name to call the process of having faceless investors under the control of Joy. And you can also say what Joy because we have had none since they took over.

How about if they took even 15-20% of the money they got for Wilson & invested that into a striker? Absolute bunch of fucking clowns.

How do clubs who sell a lot less season tickets than us and have gates a lot lower than our paltry 7/8000 get around this SCMP or whatever get on then and isn't there a court case or an appeal looming over all this issue. Luton ??

Don't they have lower budgets? Food and other stadium revenue etc?

They don't get around it. They live within it. Who are the clubs you speak of with lower gates but higher wage bills?

Well i thought on matchdays F&B was ours atleast the corporate bit, matchday advertising, is that ours ? bit of shirt sponsorship and shirt sales etc. What else do other clubs get put towards SCMP we don't then ? We pay a rent for playing at the Ricoh about 8% of what we used to, no power bills and i would think no maintenance bills.

The income is limited to 23 days a year and only a small percentage. We don't get direct shirt sales only a percentage.

Other clubs have 365 day income from their stadium or at least the ability to get it.

Well the club reacted to SW statement yesterday,,must of thought he spoke out of turn they were also quick in the TM signing players statement which was obviously connected... Ar well so much for fuss out of nothing, it just reinforces my thoughts that SW has no idea what he is doing or saying when running the club..

But who are we ? The Ricoh was never our stadium or ever been our stadium or has it, was it ACL, or Higgs or CCC all three ? Did sisu pay rent to be able to play there ? So when Take That, for example did their three gigs a few years ago the profits from that was put towards SCMP ? as well as the annual taxi show, rent off the casino, the annual Jehovah Witness conventions and the fucking fun-fair

Your opinion,, but this club do not react to what the fans think ,, if they did lots of decision made by them would not of have been made in the past.. This is the same animal,, they knew what was said was ill advised on SW part...
