Tell me if I am wrong, but isn't is a bit stupid to base a prediction on a number significantly higher than last seasons average crowd (and I would remove the Gillingham crowd from the calc myself as it skews the reality).
Last Season - Total attendance 214.633 games 23 average 9.332
Realistic average = (214.633-27,306)/22 = 8514, plus a bit for luck, say 8,750
Go figure...
If SW had used last seasons crowds without that game when 27K turned up then the answer should be...

Good point.. anyway is Waggot making good decisions in your opinion? I think it is a bit hit & miss.

It is. If somebody claims to be a Coventry supporter and can't be arsed to go to games then by definition they aren't a supporter.
How many will be watching the games from the lounges etc with all the income going to WASPS?

To be honest I'm not entirely sure who is responsible for what these days! The playing side seems to be better run since SW has been pushed out of it.
I think there's been a lot of positives this summer, price reduction, new club shop, Nike deal etc. Do find the season ticket sales disappointing given the price.
Of course there's a hell of a lot at the club that needs to be fixed and a lot of it was caused by SW and co so its a bit early to be singing his praises!

agreed but had we taken those figures the budget would have been absolutely dire. It seems silly to overestimate but if they feel this was necessary to be ambitious so as to atleast have some money to play with then you can see why they have done it. If we're bottom half of the table by christmas i think we'll be lucky to hit 7000

It might sound strange, but I think the club lowering season ticket prices, was a poor move. I think bar maybe a few hundred, the people who have purchased their ST's would have done so at the same prices.
They would have been better lowering the matchday tickets, especially for students and youngsters.

I disagree Lee, I had a season ticket from the late eighties up until the season we got relegated from the Championship, I am now only averaging 10-15 games a season due to the fact that the standard of football is poor and the incompetent fools who run our club

Yeah, if you want to sit in the middle of the Tesco stand it is now cheaper, but no real change elsewhere. The walk up price is £20 which I feel puts people off (despite not being that much for a football match).

I don't think the lowered prices will increase the crowds as much as SW projected, 10K is my guess for now, if TM sorts things out then the 11K will happen, but not before.

I cannot find the article but somewhere I have read CCFC keep their agreed share of the concourse income
The deal above relies heavily on WASPS filling the lounges so they are squeezing CCFC out ( as reported by SW ) to help repay the Compass deal
obviously i don't support city any more as will continue NOPM i will not do a four hundred mile round trip to put money into SISU's coffers
It is probably a lost cause trying to convince them that do not want to be!

In fairness to no loyalty I was wrong to call him fair-weather. 10-15 games is a lot better than nothing and better than some of the pretenders on here.

What have Wasps got to repay Compass? Is there a minimum level of turnover that Wasps guarantee Compass? are Compass costs fixed or do they flex with demand?
So the deal with Compass is heavily reliant on twenty three days income generated during CCFC use of the stadium then?
Did any of the other events using the lounges pre-date the return to the Ricoh by CCFC?
When CCFC negotiated the contract to return why didn't they block book the lounges so that they were available to CCFC - my guess is they didn't want to take the financial risk in case they didn't sell enough packages? Or could they have block booked in this pre season?
Do the restrictions apply to all games? Will Wasps be booking in new events that clash or do CCFC have first call in future, which you might think would be a priority to obtain given the need for turnover.
What are CCFC doing about negotiating a better position?
