I'd love to see a breakdown of the wage and spending structure that dictates crowds of 11,000. What exactly does this 60% of turnover budget include ? The manager, Waggot, the assistant coaches ? Is the academy separate ?

Player Wages and deductions
Under SCMP, 'Wages' relates to player wages only (director remuneration and general club staff wages are not included in the SCMP calculation). Player wages included in the SCMP calculation relate to all contract players (full contract, non-contract, multiplicity etc.) and loan players. Wage costs for players loaned out to other clubs are deducted for the period of the loan. Wage costs for Youth players on a professional contract are also excluded (i.e. players that have been in the club’s Youth Development scheme and have been given a pro contract); they must be 20 years of age or under at the start of the season to be discounted from the SCMP calculation.

Injections of equity also count as turnover. Therefore a wealthy owner can fund the club in ways that are not permitted in other divisions.

Not going to happen I know but................

Yep, the system is designed in L1 and 2 so owners that have the money can still spend it as they like but teams without wealthy owners or owners reluctant to put money in can not overspend and build up debt.

if shitsu put a good enough team out on the pitch then they would get their 11,000 plus more!!

but they wont and why should they when it looks like they are downsizing the football club ready for league 2 in the next year or 2.

I genuinely don't think SISU have the money. Idiots though they are even they must realise that a modest cash injection would get us out of this league. I think they would probably have done it if they could, if only to make us slightly more salable.

How is ffp affected if someone connected to the owners came in and sponsored the players shorts for a daft amount or if one of sisu/otium companies brought 3 thousand tickets at full price and gave them away?

Obviously makes no business sense but is it actually within the rules if a rich benefactor wanted to?

Thats what Man City do - the Etihad sponsorship deal is ridiculous.

Agree but definition would be 'armchair' supporter, listen on the radio⚽️

Bollocks what if they can't make every game due to work or family.
Why then does that make you a better supporter?

Who mentioned 'every game'? Not me! I was referring to those who don't go at all.

ST is terrific value but family work & other commitments may prevent it being the right purchase.

The more that attend the better the chance of improving the squad.

He's contributing revenue so of course he's better.

So, after years of treating the fans like dirt, Otium (or whatever they call themselves this month) have suddenly realised that they need us. They are reaping what they sowed.

Not really. They can run the club at break even so they won't have to put more money in.T

he ones that will suffer will be us, lower attendance means lower budget which in turn will mean we have a weaker squad and less chance of success.

Think that would impact us as supporters a lot more than Joy sat in her office in London.

And this is the huge problem. For the sake of having a team to be proud of we need people through the gates. Its the only way forward to
1. Attract a new buyer
2. Get us more clout in negotiating with wasps
3. Getting a decent sized ground of our own (pie in the Sky).

And going forward most L1 and L2 teams will see that as a good thing and will be reluctant to inject equity, knowing that they will have a decent chance of surviving and staying in the football league without busting the bank.

11k to break even? Wtf happened when we were having gates of over 20k and 18k and 16k and 15k and 12k. Where the f**k was the investment then eh?..... skyblueindorset. spot on mate, they're reaping what they sow. theres been no decent investment in this team since Dann and Fox were sold, with the "Lucky" signing of Leon Clarke being the exception. Even Mr "I'm injured waiting for Wolves to buy me" Clarke saw SISU were going to do F**k all about our situation.

I think point here is their a hedge fund and if crowds of say 20k-25k went every week we wouldnt see that money reinvested back into the squad to get promoted thats the issue with sisu cant be trusted to do the right thing with our money if we go to games every week.

We had an average ticket price of £10 a game when we had those crowds - we were subsidising like no tomorrow. We were losing millions we were paying Michael Doyle £15k a week.

Oh we went bust.

Rubbish I haven't brought a season ticket this season I can't make the first game but will go to every other one.
So in effect does that then make supporters like me better as we contribute more.

How much do you want to move the goalposts Grenduffy? What percentage of concessions and JSB's to full paying adults were there? 3-4%? and while we're at it, Link to Doyles wages please..... and I don't mean one of your "Estimated fact wages" either!

In fairness to no loyalty I was wrong to call him fair-weather. 10-15 games is a lot better than nothing and better than some of the pretenders on here.

If they get back to the Championship then I will buy another season ticket, I had it too good back in the nineties, I went to every home game and most of the away games, the Football was quality back then, would love to see it again one day

Crowds will come back slowly once the team starts doing something and the longer TF keeps his mouth shut and the club PR keep up their current excellent work.

The only real way to bring in people prior to success is either very cheap tickets or splashing the cash pre season. If we want to do it from a self sustaining base then it'll have to be slow and steady and led from the pitch.
