@ CCFC..... Where do you condone what SISU are/have been doing.... Let me see now! How about giving them money which hasn't been put back into the Football Club for starters. SISU said Coventry City FC. are self sufficient? What's happened to the money from Wilson and Clarke sales then? Certainly not been put back into the Football Club has it! The norm over the last 7 years have been, Sell a good player for (Hypothetical price of say £1m) Club given nothing to BUY another player. OR sell a player on 6k pw and bring in 5 (Shit ones) on 1k pw each saving 52k pa Where does that 52k go? Caymen Is perhaps? Would it make any difference if we filled the Ricoh every fortnight? Would it f**k! the money wouldn't go back into the Club... Caymen Is perhaps? It's fools and their money are soon parted. Does the cap fit by any chance?....... Grenduffy... Perhaps you should ask OSB to show you where in the Audited Accounts monies have passed OUT of CCFC into SISU
Doyle spent last season on loan at Leeds, where he was classed as not good enough for League One by some United supporters (Where, according to 'soccerbase', he played 52 times, and failed to score - though he did pick up ten yellow cards!), and obviously was rated as not good enough for the Championship by Simon Grayson too, who opted not to take him to Elland Road when they gained promotion.
Doyle, according to reports, left for no fee, and the rumoured £8,000+ weekly salary the club will be saving will hopefully go towards bringing in somebody more likely to help push the club into the top half of the table.
For instance, under the terms of the season-long deal that brought Michael Doyle to Elland Road from Coventry City, United agreed to pay half of the midfielder’s £10,000-per-week wage with his parent club picking up the rest.

My money goes towards paying the wages of players and running of the football club. The 8,000 fans still going are the lifeblood of the club, without them we'd have no club.
Yes it would make a massive difference if we filled the Ricoh.

Not this bollocks again, OSB has been through the accounts many times and SISU have taken no money out of the club, accrued interest yes, but physically taken money out. No. The asset stripping like is a myth, the money for Clarke and Wilson went into funding the operating costs/covering losses of the club. Running a football club is expensive business and we've been losing £6-7m per annum for the last decade. Management costs are also a red herring, it's been explained its the movement of cash between the group of companies that are CCFC.

Been down the club shop in Tesco's twice today and both times queues of fans buying tickets for Wigan game.
Not saying for season tickets but they reckon it'll be a decent turn out tomorrow.

There was an an article in the CET in 2007 where the accounts showed that the highest paid CCFC player was on £15,000 a week. It's been discussed numerous times on here.
The general assumption was that it was Michael Doyle.
His next contract was on a lower salary - clearly a measly £10 000 a week.

It would help if it was easier getting to the ground. The train station being late and then apparently having one train per hour (?) is ridiculous. Taking it further, I realise that the Council are not our friends but subsidised buses and trains (completely free for under 16 maybe?) would also help. Anything to get people off their arses and up to the Ricoh.

CCFC invested 1.7m altogether IIRC. For this we were given the 50% of ACL. This was held as security for the 6m we received from Higgs. So our club made over 4m profit. The only problem is that because of the SISU idea of negotiating it cost us our home

Do you honestly think that people keep away because of the train or bus situation? It might be used by some as an excuse. To me it isn't much of an excuse. How many disabled/infirm/elderly would use the services? The rest have plenty of options on getting there if they wanted to.

And there is an article that somewhere stated the highest paid was £15k a week. Given we has Stern John, Ward etc at the time those players would easily have commanded £10k plus salaries

CCFC invested £6.8m according to the timeline on the a trust site and sold the investment for £6.5m to the 'charity'

Certainly a mistake has been made or someone is pushing the truth to the limit. This is going back a couple of years when some people tried to say that CCFC bought the land or paid for the decontamination. So I posted up the official costs and who paid what...a few times. It was somewhere near 1.7m.
Or is it just another attempt to make CCC look worse than SISU yet again?

Page 16. CCFC put 1,758,000 towards the cost. And this wasn't guesswork as stated several times in the one you posted. This was more or less a legal document that couldn't be put as false.

Richardson sold HR then we rented it back whilst the Ricoh was built. It may have cost our club to rent it back, but it wasn't what we paid towards building the Ricoh. Richardson shouldn't have sold HR until we didn't need it. But we all know why he did.
