Having had a quick browse, clubs in the Championship buy players but supplement with frees and loans. So, inconclusive.

But based on the fact that it isn't just the Championship outside of the PL, and many clubs sign players on loan and frees, this transfer window is an irrelevance.

Fernando... you got called, don't make it worse.

But surely logic dictates that we will be letting him go because we have someone lined up to come in.

You'd think so, although I'm awaiting the meltdown on here when 18:00 comes and we haven't signed anyone.

Like Man Utd splashing the cash because a certain goalkeeper was going out? Otis you are old enough to know logic and football do not belong in the same sentence :D

Coventry City have missed out on Tottenham teenager Ismail Azzaoui who has signed for German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

Sky Blues boss Tony Mowbray has forged a strong working relationship and link with Spurs – whose scout David Pleat was at the Ricoh on Tuesday night – with a view to taking a number of up-and-coming young stars on loan following the successful arrangement with Grant Ward last season.

And the Telegraph understands that 17-year-old Azzaoui had been identified for a spell in League One with Coventry until Wolfsburg waded in with an undisclosed fee for the Belgian youth international.

From the CET. Seems to lack any quotes though so not sure of source or if just clutching at straws:

Another from their live feed. Interesting one as think he used to be pretty nifty, not that means we'd be in for him though;

Potential target for the Sky Blues?
At a time when City are searching for tricky wingers, interestingly Adam Hammill has departed Huddersfield Town by mutual consent.

The experienced 27-year-old played under Tony Mowbray during a short term deal with Boro in 2012 and could represent an option for the Sky Blues before the deadline closes.

Terriers boss Chris Powell said: “Adam has worked diligently during my time as Manager and I believe I speak for everyone at Huddersfield Town when I wish him the best of luck for the future; he will always be a friend to everyone here.”

Certainly one to keep an eye on...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is hopeful of bringing at least one signing in before the window closes, reports BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Clive Eakin. One of them could be Leeds forward Nicky Ajose.

Please no. I'd always expected Newcastle to file against trades description following his move. Had the odd piece of tricky but often looked a boy lost in a man's game when he was here.
