So far, Burge hasn't lost us any points...

Ahh, that old chestnut.

Sunday's mistakes could have quite easily cost us and we all know that. Lucky for us that it didn't cost us and our defence got him out of jail. Just because we were lucky enough it didn't cost us on Sunday, the likelihood is if he keeps fumbling the ball it will cost us points.

Ah, thank you. The eloquence of your counter-argument has made me change my mind.

Thou shalt not criticize Oggy. I get it now.

You are talking fucking tripe too, read what you have put ffs. Pat big O on the back for Murphy, Westwood, Kirkland and Kiely, Hedman too, forgot about him, all internationals, kick his ass for any crap ones, you couldn't make it up. And you say facts tell us Leigh Burge isn't up to the job, what facts ? Facts actually suggest the opposite, have we won more or less games since he got the nod ? how many clean sheets ? and remember he was threw in at the deep end last season they are the facts mate. Do i think he is the answer to our goalkeeper position 50/50 for me, but that will be down to Leigh Burge and his ability not Steve Ogrizovic.

Mowbray has publically backed him Otis

Maybe though because he has no more money in the kitty and has earmarked players elsewhere. And besides, he's hardly going to 'not back him' is he!

Worries me this stance of saying he hasn't cost us any points. That's simply saying it's okay because we got away with it on Sunday.

Agree, you fix it before it happens again. Either by replacing him or having him in for extra training.

People forget it isn't a new issue, it went on for most of last season too. FA cup and him diving out the way of a free kick are 2 that stand out, not to mention the Crewe game. Other players have since raised their games.

Nothing to do with Oggy though. Apparently his training, coaching does not influence/affect Burge or how he performs.

Erm....oh, I know. He's a legend, ain't he? Won the Cup for us and all that.

And therefore the point of Oggy is ........?

Answers on a postcard please.

Ha, I never get this 'backed by the manager' stuff. Mowbray is hardly going to come out and say our keeper's fucking gash we need a new one, is he.

I also don't get this "well it hasn't cost us points yet" what a stupid thing to say.

So if JOB missed 5 penalties on the trot but we won all those games then he should still take the 6th penalty for example? Really?

The counter-argument to that is that Lee Burge is truly awful, and Oggy has improved him to the point where he is now just a little below par. I don't pretend to know either way, just pointing out that it's difficult for someone outside of the team to truly know Oggy's ability as a coach. He might be great, he might be dog dirt.

is there any thread on here that doesn't derail into slagging off Burge. Won't be long before the Hussey-esque boos at the Ricoh at this rate.

I've not booed Burge and never will. What I've said when people have been having a go at him is that Oggy also has to take some responsibility for his form as he coaches Burge and always has.

As others have pointed out, he hasn't cost us points this season and if TM has faith in him then fair enough...

Just read a report on HITC sport that he is due for a medical tomorrow and it is a six month youth loan.

What bollocks. Westwood, Murphy and Hedman were all internationals before they came here. He didn't improve them. You can give him Kirkland though I'm not sure how much coaching he was doing in his early days. You want to add Debec, Luke Steel, Schmeichel, Shearer, etc to that list?

Try posting about CCC/Sisu in a Burge thread. It'd be an infinite scapegoat machine.

ScottTaylorUK: Kent has now signed for Coventry so will not play for #LFC U21s against Chelsea on Friday night. Brannagan also linked with move away.

@MerseysideFisch: Ryan Kent has finally secured a loan move to Coventry. Deals with Leeds United & Blackpool fell through which caused the delay. #LFC

Bring it on.

Going to make the season incredibly boring though, what with us being 30+ points clear by Christmas.

The really important thing for me is it shows top sides want their youngsters with TM. I think Kent, Armstrong and Murphy would normally be placed in championship sides but 3 premier clubs have chosen ccfc. They know his coaching ability and style of play and see us as a good grounding for their youngsters development.

I agree. Sadly he is yet another one who is beyond criticism and will have a job for life despite the fact that we could get a better gk coach. Keeping him a job is more important than the success of ccfc.

2 factors as to why we are getting some exciting loan signings...

1) TM influence
2) Fantastic start to the season and flying high
