When will the PL get the 4th qualifying spot taken away.....surely it can't be justified much longer?

Of course, if I had my way, it would be one spot per nation....you know....maybe for the champions?

Not really sure how they get away with calling it the champions league but I suppose the the teams that finish between first and fourth cup for some nations and less for other and also the winners of the Europa league cup is a a bit of a mouthfull.

They should bring back the cup winners cup in the old format of two legged knockout (no boring leagues)

Don't talk nonsense, the Sky Sports wankers being entertained is much more important.

Was it easy to get tickets?

Yeah. Bought on general sale a couple of days before the game.

Do you support Chelsea then ?

No. Just want to watch decent football and tick the ground off. Cheap too.

Couldn't agree more on the format. Why is it called 'The Champions League'?

...so what? What's your point? Maybe if they wouldnt be so 'class' if they were given so much money for achieving nothing.

My point is I want to watch Man City vs Real Madrid. Arsenal v Dortmund. We watch the domestic leagues week in week out. I want to see the best teams in Europe take each other on. These teams may not be champions but its gotta be better and more entertaining than Chelsea beating the champions of Hungary or someone like that.

Regards the name, bear in mind that the third level here is laughably called League One. Which is similar to what they call the top division in France.

I always liked the cup winners cup, it allowed for more random teams in the tournament. I think equally limiting these fecking league stages would help, teams play as much in the CL as the prem now!

At least the Hungarian Champions would actually be Champions.

You hear those who don't normally watch football going on about the champions league and how great it is. Sums the whole thing up for me.

Just checked and the champions of Hungary didn't qualify this year. However, the champions of Kazakhstan (central asia!) are in the group stage believe it or not.

Yeah, although it's a necessary because Isreali teams and the national side might have problems playing other Arab teams.

Australia are a member of Asia in football terms funny enough.
