One is from Birmingham and moved to Cov as a kid.

The word 'town' is used to describe any city centre. Even Londoners used to say they were going 'up town'.
Isn't only one of them actually a city fan? šŸ¤£

We had amazing atmospheres as the team rose from the dark days of L2. Best in my lifetime. The Birmingham game in the play off final season was beyond great. The team and fans had fantastic momentum.

Itā€™s not quite there as this team finds an identity.

But in terms of perspective I remember the L1 days on our way down with 6,000 odd at the Ricoh and feeling hopeless. The very fact that weā€™re even commenting on the noise made by 29,000 fans as a team 14th in the table - proves that this club is ultimately on the right path.

As an older City fan I think live n die deffo has merit & adds to atmos.
Gets me out of the bar on time too.
Cmon the Eton boating song has had its own way for 60 years.
The old & new can live side by side.

Replacing 'Play Up Sky Blues' with that new trash is a bit like the time we tried to change our badge.

Although itā€™s good to have something of our own to sing before a game, The Enemy, and that song, have always been gash.

A much better alternative would be ā€œA Message To You, Rudyā€. Made in Cov and way cooler.

Heck, Iā€™d even take ā€œLove and Prideā€ by King over the fucking Enemy.

The football is shit TBH. Even when we start to get loud cos weā€™re attacking we invariably pass it back to the keeper and kill it.
This.

The football has become progressively more boring. The first two seasons after COVID was pretty good to watch (we also had loads of rousing comebacks early in the season) which generated a good atmosphere because we believed something could happen.

Now we just sort of keep the ball for ages with basically no sustained threat on the oppo goal.

One thing I would say is there's a lot more audible frustration expressed at players now.

Even fairly early on yesterday defenders were getting moaned at for not playing the ball forward quick enough, even though it was 0-0 and there was plenty of time left. That was previously reserved for when we were losing late on.

I particularly remember Dovin having the ball in his hands and half the crowd calling for a quick throw out, which wasn't really on, but he did it anyway, we lost the ball and there was a huge groan.

There's definitely an entitlement/expectation from many fans that wasn't there previously.

No disrespect, but have you only just started supporting us? Players getting shit and crowds moaning and groaning has been going on for decades. Or does using the buzz word of entitlement just need to be done?

Yeah, created this account back in 2015 in anticipation of becoming a fan almost 10 years later.

Yeah it was like that, but our journey back up the leagues under Robins produced a great home atmosphere, now we've stalled and it's getting worse. And none of the players/manager have the good will in the bank to protect them.

'Kinell, it's almost as if they've paid money up front to be entertained.

Itā€™s not entitlement. Itā€™s a lack of belief in these players and this manager. When weā€™re knocking it about in previous seasons weā€™ve seen that squad and that manager come back and think it can happen again. All weā€™ve seen from this squad is turgid shite football so when they start fanning about it taking six years to pass they donā€™t get the benefit of the doubt.

At least we can banish the myth that you canā€™t generate a good atmosphere at the Ricoh/CBS. It has been brilliant since we returned but fucking awful the last 12 months. As others have said, it feels like Robins has gone and taken the dream with him.

Thereā€™s a combination of factors that have led to this. Moving the away fans, poor results, poor performances (MVE, Sakamoto) top flair players leaving etcā€¦ the one I wonā€™t accept is that we concede first. Thats saying youā€™ll only sing when youā€™re winning or drawing. The drummer wasnā€™t so bad when we were playing well.

If we had a couple more flair players or leaders, I dare say people would be writing more songs. It looks like weā€™ve got a couple of boring seasons ahead of us as I canā€™t see Austin bringing anyone that isnā€™t shit in.

Doug had no impact on the 2022-2023 season (other than an unproven claim from someone that struggles with the truth that SISU wanted to sell Gyokeres) and everything has gone backwards under him other than the club shop and training ground gym.

In recent seasons the fans ā€˜pulledā€™ a team of underdogs into a new world. A whole load of expectancy and new season ticket holders came with it. Now weā€™re not at the level that most (and all the newbys) hoped and the mood has dropped.
At some point - hopefully- weā€™ll be at the expected levels and all will be as it was.
And we need a few new icons/ warriors to hang our hopes upon.

Itā€™s hard to get an atmosphere going for 90 mins having to watch that,it Was boring negative football the whole game, but thats the quality of players weā€™ve got, just shows how bad Plymouth actually are,

Yes we seriously lack spark and flair
Biggest cheer was when our RB flicked it over 2 of their players, pretty much summed up the game, whoā€™d of thought 2 months ago weā€™d be missing Clarke as Bad as we are ,we play 433 ( itā€™s 451 really ) but donā€™t break quick and teams who just sit deep we canā€™t break down, you end up with boring games with a boring atmosphere,
