That is amazing. It’s like that gif from Community in CCFC logo form.

So out of touch with Premier leagure football now

As much as I’d like to think we could one day be having games like this again I struggle to see us being even a moderate force in the championship. Both Villa and Wolves have had PL cash in the bank, and parachute payments since. Obviously Wolves have been spending money like a drunken sailor...

    A new CCFC club badge

That’s a big part of why I thought just make something myself and then if other fans like it, push it in front of the nose of the club. Football club management often seem incapable of running their primary going concern, let alone having the right skills (and good taste) to do stuff like this...

    A new CCFC club badge

Cheers for the feedback! I can hear where you’re coming from re: tidying up the current logo. That really was my original intention but it just didn’t work out. As far as doing something in line with the current trend for redone logos goes, I think simplicity is the way forwards. Looking at all...

    A new CCFC club badge

Ha, I know what you mean! Unfortunately taking liberties is a little bit necessary to give the pose any kind of interest. Just look at the poor elephant on the current logo. It’s not easy to tell if those are skinny legs behind, or if it’s meant to be an outline for contrast (I assume the latter...

Here are the two kit mockups I posted: Conversation about Puma kits started here: https://twitter.com/kapowaz/status/972173136291614721

So out of touch with Premier leagure football now

Fun* thought for you all. Next season will be our 18th outside of the Premier League, double the number of seasons we spent inside the Premier League (obviously not counting old Division 1 seasons). Assuming we did somehow manage to get promotion this season, the absolute minimum number of...

    You’ve nailed it, I can’t compete.

    A new CCFC club badge

Exactly — the important elements for me were always just a football, an elephant stood on it, and three towers on its back (the retro logo used for the 60s-inspired Puma kit was a personal favourite).

Yeah, they’re also using Gotham as the typeface which really makes the comparison unavoidable. Sadly I love Gotham too much, and nothing else I tried worked nearly as well, so I just had to accept that it would bear some similarity. Still, circular badges with the text in an arc around the...

    A new CCFC club badge

I can see where you’re coming from with this, but it’s actually kind of intentional to use something that almost looks a bit ‘cartoonish’. You’re seeing it as a huge image above, but a good design has to work well (and be recognisable) at all manner of sizes. Shrink it down to a small size and...

    A new CCFC club badge

A couple of years ago I was preparing for my wedding, and lucky enough to be getting a tailored suit made. I had this crazy idea of the jacket lining be an authentic reproduction print of the 1987 FA Cup winning CCFC home kit, and I thought it’d be fun to have the club badge embroidered on the...

Help wanted! Do you own the 1992-94 home kit?

Different strokes for different folks! Some people love it, some hated it. How could you tell…?

Help wanted! Do you own the 1992-94 home kit?

I‘m looking to get hold of the 1992-94 CCFC home kit. It doesn’t matter what size so long as it’s in reasonably good condition. As it’s quite rare I’m sure most people wouldn’t be prepared to part with it if they have one, but I‘m happy to pay just to loan it temporarily (to make a high-quality...

    Fisher telephone call.

I have no idea whether this is legit or not, but let’s assume for the moment it is; if so, then TF is completely out of touch: Fans are customers. If your business fails because your customers decide not to buy your product, this doesn’t make it your customers’ fault. This is straight up...

    A Clean Slate?

Oh, the irony of the Football League / FA making an example of us (the club and its fans) when they essentially signed off on the irresponsible owners who put the club in this precarious situation; but the cynic in me says: yeah, that’s exactly what they’d do.

    A Clean Slate?

That’s very interesting stuff Mark. From the sounds of things we’d almost certainly be a reformed club, so as Captain Dart says it would depend on our crowd size. I never realised that this was the reason for placing the club in a certain level of the pyramid — not simply ‘stature’ but the...

    A Clean Slate?

That was a great game — one of the few times I’ve gotten to see CCFC play in London. Such a good atmosphere considering the severity of the scoreline. I wish there was some way of bottling that good cheer and deploying it right now.
