His celebration was anti-climatic, he either shocked himself or was nonchalant as that sort of strike is just normal for him!!

He’s growing into it - a goal is coming.* *unless he inevitably gets taken off instead of Godden.

Torp having a way better debut than anticipated considering the step up, his limited time with the squad and last competitive game being weeks ago. Promising signs indeed - and earlier than expected.

You can’t be in the team for your finishing ability and then miss that absolute unquestionable sitter.

Palmer, unsurprisingly and with reason, clearly massively wound up tonight. Probably telling Bannon he’s a twat for his reaction last game.

Simms; he’s had a poor start with indecision and then a poor pass to Godden, followed by being dispossessed way too easily. But I am absolutely desperate for him to score. Tonight is the night.

Anyone worked out the shape yet? Palmer seems pretty central so far. And Godden more on the right. Might be a 4-3-1-2, as opposed to the usual 4-2-3-1/4-3-3.

This incident was about 10 minutes into the second half. Subsequent reading on here would suggest this is likely when the young scumbag with his waste of space Dad started having a go. If this situation wasn’t so horrendous, this excuse would be absolutely laughable. All other evidence points...

Yea Palmer indicated something earlier in the game too, but definitely made the issue clear this time. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from them. Pretty sure they threw something his way too!

Palmer over distracted by their fans when retrieving the ball. Bit odd.

Disjointed and not the best game to watch so far. Sheff Weds don’t look that bad a side either tbf - thought the same in the home game. Confident we’ll win and likely score another, we are too strong a team. Like others Simms for Godden has to happen sooner rather than later. Godden may be...

This is an incredible post. Longest running WUM on here confirmed, shame as it lasted so long.

    Recommend a beer

I tend to save the strong beers for a special occasion / when I know I’m only out for a few. I had this over Christmas and it was really impressive. Doesn’t taste like a 16% beer and was full of flavour: DDF Gingerbread Imperial Stout - Vault City x Nerdbrewing Vault City are a top brewery so...

    Recommend a beer

I sort of get your point, but there’s a multitude of reasons people do it. As I said I’ve got a marathon to run in a few months so cutting out beer will help with training and Dry January is a convenient vehicle to kickstart that.

Forgot about that - good reminder!

This team will be better than the 22/23 team

Good one. If we’re talking about how the season has progressed so far I’d have gone with; if you want the rainbow you’ve got to put up with the rain.

    Bidwell appreciation

Took me a while to appreciate Bidwell if I’m honest. I first noticed his defensive work and then slowly saw he did add something offensively. Since his return to the starting line up this year I’ve certainly appreciated his contribution. He’s either stepped it up or he was just taken for...
