Said it on another thread that defence is sacrificed when we adapt this new style of play . Man City , Liverpool and Arsenal all concede goals because of their commitment to attacking
It's the sacrifice you make for playing on the front foot . Man City , Liverpool , Arsenal all concede goals because of their commitment to attacking .
I know which style I prefer compared to lasts season style of play
The later posts in this thread is kind of where I am . Torp scored with what was effectively the last kick of the game , so what was the rush to get an immediate decision ?
Surely if we've learnt nothing from VAR in the PL is that it's better to take the time to get the right decision.
Binks had a blinding game yesterday and Kitching was poor , over the course of the whole season that hasn't been the case .
Kitching seems to have gone off the boil in the past month but has been in big part in an exciting season .
An hour of Binks playing to his potential shouldn't take...
We do need one more but we need to stop comparing players , Torp won’t ever do the defensive side that Eccles does and conversely Eccles hasn’t got the passing or shooting ability of Torp .
Lets just be glad we own all three
The argument that we need to improve on him is nonsense . Another goalkeeper to compete with him would be nice but I’d be happy to go into next season with him and Wilson again
The most encouraging thing for me today , the performance apart , is that we are starting to see leaders emerge . MvE , Thomas , Eccles and Simms showed a lot today ,Binks too when he came on
Collins had a good game , to blame him for the first is incredibly harsh . He made a number of very important saves and blocks and could do nothing about Uniteds 2nd and 3rd goals . Let’s not start some sort of bullshit witch-hunt about a decent championship goalkeeper
