    EMC

We sadly have a few with really poor first touches. BTA, Simms and EMC all seem to find close control difficult. At this level it results in possession being turned over.

When can we make a judgement?

How many games did it take for Robins to get a tune out of Wright and Simms last season? That would be the ammount of time I would give it.

I think it also depends on the position and the demands on the player within any particular system.

    Graham Potter

He might come if geographic location is a big factor for him! Personally I am not thinking past the next two home games where 4-6 points would be galvanizing and kick start our season. As bad as it is right now, it could also get really encouraging quite quickly.

Those are the sort of stupid comments immature attention seeking kids come out with on fake profiles. This guy is seemingly of really low IQ as well as being a scumbag.

    Profit on players

This is why we need a winning team first and foremost. MVE in a team down the bottom end of the table leaking goals left right and centre would be worth far less than a MVE with impressive clean sheet record and assist stats performing for a top 8 club. It's the same with all the other players...

    Profit on players

While the posh owner is a bit of a tool. When he comes out lauding Doug King as a ferocious negotiator, you know he pretty confident he got the better of the deal.

Our recruitment team had a few wins with the Saka and MVE signings, Doug loosened the purse strings and invested about 14 million for EMC, Kitching and Torp and Dovan and arguably none would be in our current best 11. Is that not a bit of a concern?

He did make a great save but was also lacking in anticipation and slow off his line for their winner. We have messed around too many keepers at the club recently (arguably Wilson after his golden glove) and I think keeping the younger keeper we have invested in is best unless he is costing points.

5-2-3 would suit us with the injuries we have and it is an attacking formation.

https://www.footballizer.com/academy/5-2-3-formation/ Strongly think this formation would suit the brief for the weekend. And going forward.

    Robin’s loyalist

I don't doubt that the infrastructure has vastly improved from a bricks and mortar perspective. Players do indeed come and go. I personally have some reservations with the personnel the club have brought in with their inflated management and coaching structure and wonder if we have too many...

    Robin’s loyalist

How can you be great at running a football club if the end product your business is structured to produce is substandard? Is that not somewhat contradictory?

    Robin’s loyalist

There is a difference between having an elite structure designed for success and elite people within those posts that actually can deliver it! Currently i think we have a few in key posts that don't have the capability to operate at the required level. I get the sense that Doug has...

    Ben Wilson - well done!

He also had a bad habit on Wednesday of kicking the ball straight to the Spurs goalkeeper! Our problematic form is due to failings in other areas if the pitch.

I agree Bassette appears to be a cocky lad who is also immature. While he looks like he has talent. Did we need to sign someone with a poor attitude when the area we lacked was midfield. Some on here are saying Kitching (who btw arrived with MVE and Bassette yesterday) is also seemingly a...

    Robins had zero clue

Bring frank I think our pre season was average. We normally play more games against lower league opposition and instead we had games against Roma scheduled midweek before the season started. Yes it was cancelled but someone scheduled that game initially and pencilled it in as a good idea...
