No, Lati did not win every header and I think he struggled at times. We were were the dominant team so much went though them, but when the play broke down it was more often with one if them and personally I think we need another CM who is primarily good at breaking up play and winning...

Dovin 6 - not really at fault for the goals and looked okay with the ball to feet. MVE 10 - great performance, they could not live with Sakamoto and MVE linking up in the first half. Lati 6 - Did okay but not a dominant CB Binks 7 - Did okay, wish he would spray less speculative balls than he...

It was Torp losing the ball and then running back like he was in treacle that lead to their second. He did play some expansive passes but he is unspectacular and we miss Sheaf.

I don't get some of the Palmer reviews. He is not our all round most talented player but he can play passes others can't. Last season he played very well a number of times (see quarter final vs Wolves as one example), he was guilty in other games of giving the ball away too cheaply. However...

    EFL Cup 2nd round draw

Keep rotating the squad and beat the team we are playing and let's see how far we get.

Put Palmer in for Allen and that would be my team too. Palmer is better at making goals than Allen. Bidwell is more solid and dependable than Dasilva but I am hoping we will be on the front foot most the night.

Yes, if we want to be at the top end of the table we cant be going into tht many games looking to 'take a draw' too many times this season!

    Transfer Rumour Nicolas Madsen

We should look to sign the lad from Liverpool. He has bags of ability and dynamic energy, we don't have lots of that with Torp or Allen.

Match Thread Stoke away 10th August 12:30 - Opening day!

Allen is a water carrier that will not take us to top 2 Eccles is also not a top 2 midfielder Torp is not a top 2 midfielder Palmer is not a top 2 midfielder Lati standing in is not a top 2 midfielder If we are serious about challenging right at the top of the league we need far more...

    Championship thread 24/25!

Blackburn have looked decent tonight against a robust Derby team. Think they could be a long shot for the top 6 depending if they bring in 2 or 3 more and keep hold of Sammy S, Dolan etc.

    Sheaf

A must keep if we want to consider top 2
  20. ccfc1234

    Sheaf

Agree. If we sign Bobby Clarke on loan and spend 7 million on a LB we could cover the loss of sheaf but I really think we need to keep him. Our 3 of Rudoni, Sheaf and Torp/Eccles is creative and will get and set up goals. To be at the top of the league you need to have more than a few who are...
