The Trust's marches, which were fantastic events btw, were noting to do with the Telegraph. Our only involvement was to help publicise them. We've never tried to claim credit for them. #BringCityHome was a very separate campaign which sought to put pressure on all of the parties involved in the...

    #BringCityHome up for another award

Well within your rights to be negative. I just thought the fans involved deserved a pat on the back. Personally, I think the campaign showed the underlying passion that's in the city for our football club and what can be achieved when fans unite.

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Perception certainly is interesting. I still don't really understand how a story about a council decision possibly costing the taxpayer millions of pounds (due to alleged incompetence by public officials) is a story that has been constructed to make Sisu look bad... If Sisu won the appeal, and...

You say scare story, I say printing information from a legitimate source. That's your prerogative. Mine will remain to continue to inform.

Mood at the council? Depends who you speak to. Some are concerned, others are not. Generally get a sense that nobody really knows what's going to happen. The only thing that does seem certain is that this will take a long time to resolve.

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Well if I revealed that, they'd hardly be likely to provide me unattributable useful information in the future would they?

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Well yes. If I made things like that up, and reported them as fact, I wouldn't have a job for long. I need a job for food, rent, keeping the wife in new shoes etc.

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Along the lines of "The compensation claim would be substantial. We're potentially talking hundreds of millions." The source then outlined what that would be based on. Loss of points, earnings by moving to Northampton, reputation all damage etc. So in short, yes. Although I think I was the...

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Not the same "source" that provided the bland PR statement. It was said to me by one of Sisu's legal team immediately after the hearing, in the court room. It was then repeated a few moments later in a separate conversation outside the court room. The source asked not to be directly quoted.

It kind of proves my point. If we are being biased, why wouldn't we just say we are? We don't have to be neutral.

They haven't been rubbished yet. We haven't had the appeal. All that's been proved is that Sisu's argument "has merit". If Sisu win the appeal, that will be a different matter. It's a story written with balance. The type of balance I aspire to achieve in everything I write.

What possible motive would we have for bias against the football club?

With all due respect, that's utter unfounded nonsense.

Would the Ricoh be profitable without Wasps? That's a chicken and egg situation. Also, will it be profitable at all? Only time will tell for sure. Can the media alter the way people think? Yes. Has that ever been our intentional aim in relation to this? Certainly not in the two years since...
