If a goal was scored as a result of a huge error by the keeper I would expect the headline to concentrate on that.

I said wonder goal by one of our players not lucky goal because of a keeper error. Why am not surprised you're moving the goal posts though.

It wouldn't be a wonder goal though would it? It would have been an error by the keeper or defender or somebody to allow it to happen, without that error then the goal would never have happened.

How are the goal posts being moved?

I thought I was going mental but if you can see it as well....

Although, if there was a massive mess up there would be nothing to pursue in the first place.

(That is IF SISU were to win and IF they got millions in compo, I am not quite sure the first will happen and less sure about the second).

What are you getting at , if I can see it - it's bleeding obvious .:D

Only kidding you ! I don't like SISU any more than anyone else, but this sounds like its going to be their fault simply because they chose to take action.

I tell you what you three are funny.

I recon if lord Lucan was found alive and well in Coventry and the CET went with the headline Lord Lucan found alive and well living in Coventry you'd be outraged because the headline didn't say CCC let Lord Lucan live in Coventry.

What are you on about?

Why would it have anything to do with the council?

It won't but I'm sure you or one of the other paranoid androids will at least try and work an angle out. Same as you've all taking a headline that doesn't apportion blame and decided it does.

Your faux pas outrage fools no one

My original comment......

They are saying the compo would be 100's of millions.
If that's the case they would make money. Building a stadium would cost a small fortune. They would only see a return with significant investment in the playing squad.

Grendel......

Where have they actually said it will be hundreds of millions?

My reply....,,,

SISU sources have suggested the compensation claim could run into hundreds of millions of pounds.

Army Bikes Question to this.....

Have you got a link to that info? Would like to take a look cheers.

Grendel to army bike......

Clearly not - he just made it up

Mr Trench's inaccurate comment that you went off.........

Here is a link. But it's a just a CET article with 'sources said"... not quoted nor named.

My reply........

I attached the link to the article that has it in

Grendel....,....

No the article doesn't say the owners think it's worth millions at all.

Why are you lying all the time?

Word for word in the article is this....,

SISU sources have suggested the compensation claim could run into hundreds of millions of pounds.

I seem to remember that whether the option is taken up is not just down to the club, either. So there's always the position that CCFC want to take it up, but their landlords don't...

Anywhere with a decent hill close by? Don't fancy Northampton again, but maybe we could go on a tour of great hills of Britain and Ireland!

It's a 2+2 deal in the club's favour. If the club want to continue for the two extra years ACL have no choice.

Have you got a link or anything? I thought it was in Wasps / ACL favour but could be wrong.

I'll have a look but I'm almost certain it was that way round and the FL requested it to be that way.

Not according to the Wasps prospectus. When we returned I think you'd be right in saying that TF and SW were certainly making out that it was the club that has the option but when the Wasps bond prospectus came out it seemed to contradict that statement. I'm sure there's endless pages about it on the Wasps sub forum. As for the FL, there rules are more guidelines than rules as we've seen time and time again. They really couldn't say no after accepting our owners are building a new stadium and therefore any current venue is classed as temporary.

Was it the prospectus where it said it was in their favour then?

As I said you were taking shit like you always do.

What's your day like tomorrow? I hear Lucas has you doing some public toilet cleaning as youre failing to convince the majority on here? Better sharpen up or you'll end up in the dungeon like Council Jack.

You really have some strange ideas in your head.

So because I think if SISU did win the 100's of millions that the CET said they said they would be looking for as compensation.

That I then think they would sell the football club. With their reputation restored.

That somehow means I work for Anne Lucas?

The lengths you are going to deflect from the fact you incorrectly called me a liar and are not gentlemanly enough to apologise is outrageous.

As often happens, Grenduffy had his pants pulled down, and his arse duly smacked. You're very good at calling posters a liar, apologize to Dongo you prat!

So by your logic RFC is one of the most honest spokespeople on here then? So why does he get slagged off?

@ SimonGilbert........... Surely, the easiest way to stop this argument is for you to say who it was that "Suggested" what the compensation payout could be? Simple!

Not the same "source" that provided the bland PR statement.

It was said to me by one of Sisu's legal team immediately after the hearing, in the court room. It was then repeated a few moments later in a separate conversation outside the court room.

The source asked not to be directly quoted.

What, someone came up to you and said "this is going to be worth hundreds of millions" did they?

Along the lines of "The compensation claim would be substantial. We're potentially talking hundreds of millions."

The source then outlined what that would be based on. Loss of points, earnings by moving to Northampton, reputation all damage etc.

So in short, yes. Although I think I was the one who actually initiated the conversation in the first place.

Do you have any evidence to substantiate this?

Well yes.

If I made things like that up, and reported them as fact, I wouldn't have a job for long.

I need a job for food, rent, keeping the wife in new shoes etc.

So who said it then?

Any quotes or unattributable comments from the players on the other side of this Simon?

Mood at the council?

Depends who you speak to. Some are concerned, others are not. Generally get a sense that nobody really knows what's going to happen.

The only thing that does seem certain is that this will take a long time to resolve.
