Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

I don’t understand why BOTH can’t be seen as our biggest matches, they are part of our history and we had two decades of garbage. A club is the product of its heritage so by trying to say one isn’t worth as much as another is stupid. Mourinho valued league cup wins as much as champions league...

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

There are a whole generation of people who don’t care about the FA Cup and don’t understand how big it was then. It’s very understandable for them to say that this is bigger than the FA Cup I would not swap that day for a win on Saturday myself but it’s very over the top to say this is a low...

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

It’s not negativity.. in the last 10 years the team finishing 3rd has won 4 times, the teams in 4th and 5th 3 times, and the team in 6th never won. Lots gets written about ‘momentum’ but unless one of the teams was on a really crazily good/ bad run that doesn’t seem to matter either according...

    First city game

That Swindon game, remember that- Chris Marsden was in his pomp and we went 1-0 up and dominated, then conceded a last minute equaliser- the age old story. another random fact about that match.. Leicester had a game called off the same day and a coach load of their fans came to our game instead...

Best thing if we go up

The opinion that we can’t fill the CBS being put to bed once and for all the money- should bring stability for a good few years no more messing about trying to get dodgy streams

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

you two are like kids ruining every thread and baiting people to try and annoy people. Block and carry on with the football talk

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

I’m getting the feeling this guy is on the wind up there probably is some unearthed managerial talent out there but why would you bother when Robins knows the club inside out. I think if we go up we should keep him no matter what

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

nobody is trivialising anything I think it’s pretty much unanimous that we have Robins, Sillett, Hill as our legends and they were amazing. There are reasons why people will select one of them over the others but that’s not to say they were rubbish, they are all greats. I don’t see why people...

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

what would be the point? I think we are all smart enough to know what’s coming if we do go up

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

yes really, I am just responding to your points, one minute you said it’s about legacies, then it was impact on the wider game- legacies can be taken by some but overall it’s the good times that are remembered. Basically the goalposts keep being moved because some people just don’t want to come...

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

true- he did actually have a few games in charge, holding the fort until a successor came in, and that’s often forgotten, but that must have been awkward for the players knowing he was off and wasn’t staying

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

That doesn’t hold water, when Hill came back as chairman he was despised and basically hounded out. But we all look back at what he achieved on the pitch and put him up as the best ever opinions are all great, whether it’s Hill, Sillett, Cantwell or whoever, but I just don’t get the obvious...

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

but how would that detract from what he did in getting us up from bottom to top in the first place? No matter what happened next season I would say you’re still looking at the big three of Hill, Sillett, Robins I think you do a disservice to a big portion of supporters because the majority...

In amongst the arguing, can you explain the Souness reference as I googled and I can’t see that he took a team from the fourth division to the first? Taylor was an obvious one and I missed that one completely

or Tony Mowbray apparently it’s great that some people say Hill, Sillett, Robins and so on, it’s a great debate. What I don’t get- as comical as it is- is the attempt to downplay what Robins has done due to some strange personal grudge

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

god knows then, but if there are only 4 who’ve done it in the history of English football, that pretty much speaks volumes for what Robins has done. It’s impressive enough to list what he’s done but adding “doing something only 4 other managers have ever achieved”- for me that’s beyond legend...
