We’ve got rid of the expensive deadwood; Waghorn, Walker and Kane would be £30k per week between them. Plus loanees wages Plus Dabo / Rose etc. Our match day income and ST income and TV income is considerably higher. ———- Probably £30m net income consideration from Gyok / Gus (assume...

I wonder if we should have stood strong until the last days with regards to Hamer. Teams like Wolves, having been forced to sell Nunes for £53m may well have been more desperate. The fact we are chucking £4m bids about for average players shows how desperate teams react and how selling teams...

Our defence / WB situation is arguably better (even taking Hyam into account this year v last year) Midfield, worse at the moment. Striker department? Our “main” striker, Haji is no where near Vik. Ellis Sims is better than Walker I think. Overall, team weaker but bank balance better.

https://www.htafc.com/news/2023/august/kyle-hudlin-signs-contract-extension/ Just signed a contract extension for a Champ club after scoring his first competitive goal in his first outing for Hudds. Warnock praising. He knows his stuff. I admit, clueless of me to even suggest even looking...

However you look at it we are thin on the ground rn. More creativity this year will come from our WB’s than last. Sheaf can possibly do some of the Gus longer pass work. Last year, after Cal was injured, Gus started to move forward more and became more AM than CDM. Until we get Cal fit...

I’m genuinely not trying to be pedantic and the original point of the post was why people elect to take a long distance loan when an equivalent one on the doorstep was available. Transfers are different; players know (or at least intend at point of signing) to be at a place for 3 years or so...

Buy one and send it Northern Wisdom. Although I think he’d smoke it or eat it by the looks of things.

Middlesbrough to Nottingham is 127 miles. Going with your backtracking and waffling about motorway junctions, slightly north? 110 miles? In an hour? 110 miles an hour? What you driving? Coventry to Notts is an hour Middlesbrough to Notts is more than double Look at a map. Step away...

Who put 10p in you again? FFS If “madness” is saying that Cov / Ryton is closer to Nottingham than Middlesbrough is then line up…..

I thought that, but as I said, why not Leeds which is much nearer to Huddersfield. (Unless you are Northern Wisdom in which case you have a different version of Google maps on your phone)

I don’t get it, if you are a loan player with a time span of say 9 months at a club, why up sticks to travel / move to Teeside? Surely if he lives in Notts he’d prefer to stay local and commute down the M1? (Unless he still lives near Huddersfield in which case why not Leeds)?
