    Transfer Rumour Ben Sheaf

Because he was exhausted as he had to play every minute as we had no other DMC's...hence the need to sign a third! I think he looked refreshed in the Rangers game. People making the Doyle comparison-Kelly is 30: Doyle was 37 when he lost his place in the side!

    Transfer Rumour Ben Sheaf

You can't have a team where nearly everyone's 22 and only 2 players are over 25...not at this level. Kelly's experience and leadership is key, he has stepped up every time we have gone up and if we sign Sheaf it is so we have more than Eccles as DMC cover-and we can rotate Kelly/Hamer Sheaf.

Cheeky sod, just beat me to it! I took too long over mine.

    Transfer Rumour Ben Sheaf

I wouldn't be too quick to write off Kelly. His experience and leadership is vital (and he has quality-Scotland International Liam Kelly, as Rangers TV put it!). I'd expect it to be more like the 500-700k range of the fees mentioned for Sheaf, but even that is not extorionate for Championship...

Never really trusted him since that South Park episode...

AMC we have plenty of yes, but we need a 3rd option at DMC as Eccles is too raw and needs games on loan at a lower level. And we are probably after a striker too, of course...

    Transfer Rumour Ben Sheaf

True, but as a big D/DMC he's not gonna have too many dribbles past people and 30 yard screamers! What that little vid does is show us his basic attributes and role, a lot better than wiki or a vague Donny forum thread do.

Tackling, height...just what we lack. Like a young Carlton Palmer

There will have to be a re-think

Can this be merged with the BCD thread? Already made all my points there!

    Transfer Rumour Chris Martin

I remember that, loved a canny dive and a smirk afterwards!

    Transfer Rumour Chris Martin

Works on both levels as he could say it reminds him of first club Norwich, as well as his breakthrough hit. Just read 2 in 32 games for Hull 2018/19, ouch.

Didn't mind the first album (Shiver was good!) but shite since then.

Fans back in grounds in September

Totally agree, it's been driving me nuts since they re-opened! It has to be because if they weren't allowed to open, there wouldn't be any pubs left in business after this is all over? And they're also an important tax income stream. Whereas cricket doesn't bring the government much money in...

Oh and has anyone seen that the cricket also had their crowds cancelled?: County pilots for return of crowds cancelled by UK government | ESPNcricinfo.com Cricket is in huge trouble. They were desperate to get fans back, but there's no chance of that this season now. The commentator covering...

Fans back in grounds in September

I think too many would go bust, especially the lower leagues. Like everything else that people have missed and wanted "back to normal" (pubs, restaurants etc), there was just this desperate hope that it was clearing up, when it was always inevitable that there would be a spike once lockdown was...

Transfer Rumour Rumour - Valentin Costache

Costache sounds like a bad-ass hard-boiled New York detective from the 70's. Maybe one of the corrupt ones that Serpico goes after.

    New deal for shipperz

I think that is down to him playing centrally, in his natural position. He was never a wide-left, but did a job there when he was cutting his teeth. I'd say he's been something of a revelation since playing consistently in the middle and the No.10 role is perfect for him. And he does have a...

    New deal for shipperz

Great news, well deserved. Wonderful to have a fan in that dressing room and he gets better every year! Surprised it was only a 2 year deal, though.

    Championship Play Offs

Love Terry! I'm from Rugby originally and he was amazing when at VS Rugby and went on to be an awesome veteran for Nuneaton years later. Had a decent league career between that, always followed him. Great player at his level and a true gent off the pitch.
