Oh yes mate, as a sad nonleague geek I'd heard all about him years before he joined City. Mainly blamed for Worcester losing their ground and subsequently nosediving down the nonleague pyramid, but had previous at other nonleague clubs. Summarised a bit here: Former Worcester City chairman is...

Hey, it's tough job, but someone's gotta do it! I'm quite happy with him twiddling his thumbs on a swivel chair, living out some kinda fantasy office world like Jerry from Rick and Morty. It's great that he's quiet and Boddy's done a fantastic job. What is really puzzling is that Boddy has a...

Nah had that already in late January (before anyone here had officially had it!). Very very nasty, so hard to breath. If I'd known what it was at the time I would have gone to hospital... Smoke bombs are just hell for asthma in general. It's the same with vaping-I go to a lot less games than I...

God I fucking hate smoke bombs. If there's an item more damaging to my asthma, I've yet to find it, so be considerate folks!

    87 cup final thread

I'd say 1990-01 was his best season, 11 goals in all competitions, incredible tally from midfield. He was brilliant that season. And it included some games with Kevin Macdonald as a teamate, so that's a handicap!

    Bristol City Captain

I suppose financially, yeah. Just a real pisser to finally get back to The Championship with a massively reduced chance of survival (which was always gonna be really tough anyway).

Seems daft starting a new season in January when we haven't finished this one. More worrying, how many relegation places would that be next season and how on earth do they fit in the extra games that an inflated (27 team?) division would bring? How many relegation places? If we have to finish...

    Les Sealey

Randomly, there was a brassy woman just on Real Housewives of Cheshire claiming that she moved up there from Essex "when my son signed for Manchester Utd". A bit of research, and we'd worked out that she was talking about Remi Sealey, who seems to be the son of (also in the show) Joe Sealey, who...

MOTD - The good old days

The quality certainly wasn't lower, it was just different. The game was less scientific/fitness based (ie boring and identikit IMO) and more individual, human and fun. There was more flair and trickery as well as tackling and mistakes. The pitches were much, much worse and the ball much heavier...

TV series that should be repeated but never are.

Shoestring! Never seen that repeated since it was first shown. With that, Bergerac and Monocled Mutineer, George Fenton was killing it with TV theme tunes in the 80's.

TV series that should be repeated but never are.

Monocled Mutineer was repeated on Yesterday or Drama about 3 years ago. I think British drama peaked around that time (Paul McGann certainly did) It still looks fantastic and the soundtrack is great, one of my favourite TV themes.
