Urgh. Don't get me started on metropolitan boundaries. Warwickshire is Warwickshire is Warwickshire.

One of the main KCIC guys. Has represented KCIC @ Trust committee meetings. Good bloke. Always ready to have a pop at us but all in good humour. Does have 80's-Liverpool-style 'tache tho' ;-)

Judicial review thread - day 2

Collared Tim Fisher at the break. Thinks that significant point is that council officers didn't tell councillors about potential restructuring of loan. Judge was quizzing on this so might be significant later. Might not be good for Chris West if so. Joy actually remembered me from a meeting we...

Talk of ACL cash-flow, accounts and ability to service loan. All in court hunting for the accounts!

Indeed. The idea that expensive lawyers can walk all over cowering judges is so wide of the mark. This guy knows what he's doing and isn't going to let either side get away with anything.

Judicial review thread - day 2

Have to say, I've heard nothing in the case so far to give me any reason to change my mind from the view that this can only be sorted out around the negotiating table rather than in the court room. I think it's been martcov who has talked a lot about dropping the JR and I think that getting it...

(Slightly weird seeing Clive Eakin covering a very tedious court case when he would be commentating on the final day of Warks v Lancs up the road. (Warks just got another wicket. Lancs 67 ahead with 7 wickets remaining. Could be good for a finish today?)

Dec 212Chris West email to Paul Harris being read in Points to be decided & 'how ACL will have to behave' Inc. need to revise ACL budget – how ACL an survive post-refinancing. Conflict of interest for CW? Sisu QC submitting that CW jiggling figures post-loan switch

Joking aside I will be making some attempts to find out where things could stand to actually resolve this rather than have to spend the rest of our lives in court. There is def. a feeling of needing to get a deal done around the public parts of the court.

Haha! I suggested to Dave that we should bundle Joy, Peter K-H & Chris West into one of the meeting rooms and bar the doors until they can come up with a decision :-) It could end up like the end of Reservoir Dogs tho'..?

Judge quizzing Sisu QC on restructuring of bank loan and that ACL were capable of servicing a restructured load rather than buying it out.

17 Dec 2012 letter. Bank considered that ACL could service the loan. Sisu QC accepts.

Judicial review thread - day 2

There's a few (6) spaces in court today. Passed Tim Fisher leaving the room as I came in with Dave (from KCIC) and Pat Abel. No sign of him since but I want to collar him to get his thoughts on how he thinks things are going. Joy is sitting on the back row of the main courtroom (where all the...
