    What is Norman Smurthwaite's angle?

I was wondering about training grounds at the level we now find ourselves at. I know that when they were in the top flight Wimbledon used to train in a local park and Brighton used to train at Sussex University. I recall that in Keith Houchen's book ('A tenner and a box of kippers') he says...

Yay or Nay for next season ?????

If I remember correctly, the Umbro kit (Tallon, Glazepta and Eliotts) were designed by a supporter (there was a competition). It would be good if the club could do the same again, but I don't suppose it will.

Yay or Nay for next season ?????

As I recollect, you couldn't but a shirt with the sponsors name on in when we played in the Umbro kit. I also seem to remember that when one change of sponsor took place the players didn't get new shirts and you could see the shadow of the name of the previous sponsor underneath the new one (I...

    Why would anyone buy us?

Gilbert's going to be lost now the PR woman has gone from the council. Who's going to write his material and massage his ego now?

    Why would anyone buy us?

You're right about it never really looking like our stadium from the outside... and it used to be worse than it is today. Let's not forget there wasn't a club crest on the outside of the stadium at all when the club started playing there. Paul Fletcher put up a crest without planning...

    New Potential Manager Thread...

The club hadn't made clear that MV was caretaker. Before the most recent article on it's website the information the club had released might be interpreted in a couple of different ways.

    New Potential Manager Thread...

For the first time the CCFC website has described MV as 'caretaker manager'. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/mark-venus-post-match-coventry-northampton-checkatrade-3345953.aspx MV may not be a done deal.

I think you're the one who needs counselling, aren't you. As for your illiteracy, you appear to demonstrate a lack of ability to understand the written word and so meet the technical definition. Oh... and you meet the definition of a dickhead too.

One of your many problems is that you appear to be illiterate. If you want to claim something is your 'opinion' you need to make this clear instead of making claims of 'fact'. For example: - I could say, "you're an arse", which would be a claim of fact, or - I could say "I think you're an...

Unless you are privy to some secret information you can't know I'm wrong and it's pretty arrogant of you to say I am.

It may as well have been Andy Pandy with Looby Loo as assistant.

We've had a few rookie managers. Coventry City was the first managerial appointment for Terry Butcher, Gordon Strachan, Roland Neilson, Gary McAllister and Andy Thorn. A couple of those names still make me shudder!

There's already been a lot of speculation as to what the news might be, or if there is any news at all. Here's yet another idea... The CT is running it's petition and campaign and the club hasn't really responded to this (other than by banning the newspaper from Ryton). I think a response...

Wasps winning hearts and minds with CCFC fans

The club would need the permission of the stadium owners to do anything to the bricks. The relationship between the club and the stadium owners is... strained. At least the bricks are still there, look at how many plaques have 'disappeared' from the wall outside the motor museum.
