Technically the 1st game was vs Spurs. I was about 4. We were sat in the kop. I think Terry Gibson was playing for them and we drew. I don’t remember it. My first actual game was years later, 86/87 vs…ahem…Luton Town. We lost. Brian Stein scored.

I have been really good at not getting overly excited, thinking about us being in the prem, raising my hopes…it’s just another game. Boro and now Luton are really good. They’ll beat us…it’s still been a good season. Every now and then I start to dream…I hate myself for it!

This morning I watched the highlights of the Sheff Wed game which led to me watching our highlights again…twice.
