Is not voting just playing into their hands? If more people had voted in what is now viewed as the most important ballot in peacetime history (the referendum) - which did have the highest turnout in living memory, didn't it - it might have been accepted as being the true will of the people.

Ireland has proven to be such a difficult obstacle to overcome, hasn't it? While i don't pretend to understand all the technicalities of the Good Friday agreement, and i can't BEGIN to understand the hatred across the sectarian divide, I DO find it hard to comprehend why a soft border like they...

I wish something more had come from the "indicative votes" a way back. I think that was the closest the House ever got to a sensible consensus, but there was never really any time given for meaningful debate on any of the alternative options. I certainly take the point about not being allowed...

I voted leave in 2016, and i still think being free of the shackles of federalism in Europe would be good for the UK as a whole. The problem is that Corbyn, Spurgeon, et al have only *opposed*, and while their suggestions of remaining in the single market and customs union (i.e. the European...

    Robins to Stoke?

So, Nathan Jones has gone. How long before the frothers and the numpties who believe anything a bookie says start on this rumour again, i wonder?

    Halloween

I find adults getting excited about going to a Halloween party quite disturbing. I suppose if you're going to dress up as a witch or ghost or Frankenstein, etc, that's OK, but adopting the American approach of treating simply as a general fancy-dress party makes me want to puke! And as for...

Interesting, not least because BXP sent an email out last week saying why Boris's deal "isn't the Brexit you voted for". NB I had the email forwarded to me - i am not a member of the UXB party, or whatever they're called!

You see my point guys? Where are Gilbert's tweets regarding the selection of candidates for the other parties throughout Cov & Warks? He's so Labour-centric it's embarrassing for a BBC employee!

    More Wasps BS?

That might explain it! His obsession with local Labour Party goings-on is going to get him in trouble if he doesn't start showing balance during the GE campaign.

    More Wasps BS?

Lego-head was promoting himself shamelessly this morning, because some dickhead has actually nominated him for radio and TV journalist of the year in the Midlands! Balance is presumably not among the criteria!

Not for me, i'm afraid - it's just another money-making scheme for the corrupt organisation that is UEFA.

    Keogh

So what did he actually do wrong, other than get pissed (at a club event) and get into a car driven by people who were not fit to drive? Keogh COULD end up suing the other two for loss of earnings!

I don't think Hancock's half-hour comes close to the rank stupidity shown by Ms Abbott in recent times.
